Ideas for mayor's new house?

So I just decided to revisit and redo a town of mine (named Saguaro as I live in the Sonoran desert) and I can't decide on what I want to do with my house. I'm currently just paying it entirely off so I have all the space, and then I plan on decorating it all/hunting down all the items I want etc.
I used to do each room as an individual theme (main room Princess theme, back room was a kitchen, side room sloppy/colorful...) but I feel like making the whole thing themed one way.
Anyone have any ideas for me? I like making things 'realistic'...
I'm just stuck in a creativity funk I guess!

I'm not one to decorate realistically, but I have some rooms in my Cherish town that might give you some ideas. Breanna's house has a few realistic, but unique rooms. Codes in my signature, if you want to take a look.

My Gables town has some unique but realistic rooms in Anne and Mary's houses. I can't remember the dream code, but it's Anne from Gables. You might find some ideas there too.
