Ideas for a Japanese inspired room(s)?

My boyfriend is really big into Japanese culture, swords and anime.
I however, know nothing about ANY of those things.

I want to surprise him by transforming his AC house into something that fits along these themes the only problem is I wouldn't know a Japanese looking item if it hit me in the face..

So my question is:
Can you guys post different types of furniture that I could place in his house to give it this kind of feel? Space/money is not a problem so feel free to post things that may be super expensive, trust me, he's worth it

Any of the bonsai items, dango, deer scare, the exotic series, exquisite wall, hearth, hibachi, hinaningyo, kimbap plate, kotatsu, lovely doll, modern screen, outdoor bath, paper lantern, planked tatami, screen, shoji screen, snow bunny, sushi platter, tatami, tokonoma, lazy-susan table, kadomatsu and kagamimochi are some. Some of them are foreign DLC though.

Well- to start, I'd look at some items from the "Exotic" collection. There are also several katanas, paper lanterns, bonsai trees... a tatami bed...personally, I think the Gold Screen Wall has that sort of a feeling to it, maybe bamboo flooring or something.

There's an item called the "White Katana" that I have in my house. I think it looks especially good when flanked by potted white roses on either side.

This is my room. Except for the Link mannequin, I think it looks really Japanese. I really enjoy having the samurai suit in the middle of my room.

The buffet server from the 7-11 set is actually oden ingredients (a popular hotpot dish in Japan) and the barbeque bed is green onion beef on rice. They are very Japanese. New Years Noodles is good too for having some ramen in the room. And no Japanese room is complete without a kotatsu!

I actually have my entire house Japanese themed, and several Japanese themed villagers. If you want I can update my dream code so you could get some ideas~?
