Instead of generic "winter town" or "cat town" I was thinking of something different... a town that incorporated my love for the 1920s and 1930s in with it! I was originally planning on naming the town "Roarin'", but I think I'd rather name it "Calloway" after Cab Calloway, one of the most influential musicians in my entire life who sparked my love for jazz. The mayor would be a 1920s woman, a flapper type character, while I'd most likely have a male alt who is supposed to be a jazz musician and have a nightclub-themed house.
For PWPs, I'm unsure of which I would use, but I was thinking the modern sets...perhaps the brick bridges, since a lot of the buildings from the 1920s in my town are made of brick. I'm still debating over those.
For villagers, this is the trickiest. They don't necessarily have to LOOK like they're from the 20s or 30s, and you'll see what I mean by my examples.

Villagers I was thinking about using:
-Gloria (snooty)- she really has a 1920s look, especially with her hairstyle!
-Either Greta (snooty) or Samson (jock)- I want a Mickey Mouse-esque villager, of course! Greta looks the most like Minnie Mouse, but Samson has a very cartoony look to him
-Daisy (Normal)- named after Daisy from the Great Gatsby
-Walt (cranky)- Walt Disney. Duh.
-Beardo (smug)- Idk, he kinda looks like a dapper dude to me and would fit in with the theme.

If you have ideas for PWPs, villagers, or the interior of my mayor's house, please lmk as soon as possible! Thanks!

As far as villagers, Gaston?

I also like that town name, Calloway, it's creative.

What about Boomer? His house is kinda space themed but his appearance with the old fashioned looking pilot cap and goggles might work

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm also thinking of Frank, named after Frank Sinatra, as well as Punchy, because he kinda looks like Felix the Cat.

I think a cute little park made of PWPs and flowers with that picnic blanket PWP would look cute. Also Beau reminds me of that era for some reason.

Oooooh, what a fun theme!

Another smug villager that also looks dapper is Lionel; and he can be Willie "The Lion" Smith....or Colonel Sanders. Ellie or Bella can be Ella Fitzgerald, although Ellie will be a lot harder to obtain since she is an amiibo.

For PWPs, probably the lighthouse, bus stop, yellow bench, wooden bench or metal bench. If you plan on making an outdoor recreational area or a garden; then I suggest any of the following: the outdoor chair, picnic blanket, sand box, park clock or flower clock, fountain or statue fountain, and any of the topiaries. Some extra decorations would be the Wisteria Trellis and the water pump.

*Oh, if you plan on putting city sidewalks and roads, then I recommend placing the Reset Surveillance Center somewhere nearby. Also, the traffic signal but that may be of a stretch since it somewhat looks modern.

For house interior, the Rococo and Gracie sets give me a classy vibe. I have them both in my dream town if you want to look. The Rococo set is in my mayor's house to the left on the first floor. The Gracie set is located on the basement of Andrea's house.

For clothes, the butterfly dress and the stylish suit top and bottoms give me a party vibe. Maybe you can add a feather to the mayor's head.

Diva would be a great uchi for your theme.

For your interior, the rococo, classic, and vintage pieces would all work.

This is a great idea for a town!
If you've already got your town on the go and you have a free villager spot, Walt is actually moving from my town tomorrow (31st) if you would like him! I have a thread in the Villager Trading Plaza :)

edit: Walt has been claimed now but good luck with your town! would love to see it :)

I think a cool idea would be a 1930's New York city. You could also make it winter, because New York is known for their cold and snowy winters.

I would agree 100% that Gloria would fit in perfectly! I think some other good picks for villagers are Beardo, Becky, Broffina, Bruce, Clay, Croque, Deirdre, Diva, Elmer, Elvis, Gaston, Gigi, Kidd, Klaus, Lionel, Mott, Muffy, Olaf & Tiffany.

As for PWP'S, i'd recommend; The cafe could be a good fit, but unsure. Classic police station, Metal bench, Suspension bridge or wooden bridge, Bus stop, Park clock, Drinking fountain, Fire hydrant, Street lamp, Water pump, Tower.

I think quite a few streetlamps here and there along a path could look really nice c:

People here gave you wonderful suggestions, and your idea is really unique and cool! I love silent movies from that era. Taking about silent movies, Monique looks like an actress from the 30’s! With those arched eyebrows and dramatic look

(I know she’s supposed to look like Marilyn Monroe, but to me she looks more like Greta Garbo! )

Here’s a full list of what I personally think would fit for the Roaring 20’s:

- The Roost Cafe
- Modern Police Station (Classic is too outdated)
- Reset Center
- Keep Town Hall and Train Station as Default
- Bell
- Metal Bench or Modern Bench
- Pile of Pipes
- Cobblestone Bridge or Brick Bridge
- Bus Stop (Though maybe it’s too outdated for your era)
- Park Clock, Modern Clock, or Illuminated Clock
- Drinking Fountain
- Fire Hydrant
- Fountain
- Instrument Shelter
- Street Lamp or Round Streetlight
- Flower Arch or Illuminated Arch
- Illuminated Tree
- Statue Fountain
- Any of the Topiaries

I can't be of any real help,3MM, but I think it's a great idea and would really like to visit someday.

Thanks for the advice, everyone! I really do like the idea of a 1920s New York, especially since Cab Calloway was born in New York! I'm starting to get my villagers lined up, and this town is closer and closer to becoming a reality! I've recently obtained some National Geographic magazines from the 20s, and the advertisements in them will really help me with the house interior and mayor design!
