i wish the illuminated items were bright during the day

they look so good when they light up in the dark but i wish we had the option to turn them on during the day. i know they wouldn't be as bright and glowy as they are at night but they just look so dull and ugly completely turned off. is anyone else annoyed by this?

The first day I had them I put them all out and was so disappointed. I thought something was wrong with them. I tried to turn them on, thinking they were off or something. I don't understand why they would light up only at night- it just doesn't look good! The colors on them are super off during the day and are washed out. I wish you could turn them on at will.

I found this out yesterday when I made the illuminated reindeer one. I thought you could just switch them on and off, but they work like streetlights unfortunately. I was a bit disappointed when I saw that.

They're so pretty when they're lit up!! I'm kinda indifferent to how they look during the day but I wouldn't mind if they stayed lit up 24/7.

The real crime is that we don't have the illuminated arch from ACNL! Think of how pretty it would be!! And a fence with lights on it... More lights, Nintendo!! Please!

I definitely agree cause when I updated my dream address for winter I had to set the time to nighttime so that everything lit up. I would have preferred the daytime but the illuminated items are lack luster during the day.

agreed!! i honestly really love the illuminated items but i definitely agree that they look better when they’re lit up and wish that we could turn them on and off whenever we want, too.

THIS! i was so disappointed as heck when they didnt glow during the day and i wasn't willing to set my town at night just for the glow of those illuminated furniture. Up till now i still couldn't find a compromise and i'd probably just get rid of those illuminated furniture. i really love the illuminated reindeer tho.

I just started putting up lights around my island and it's sad that we can't see the beauty and enjoy the lights a bit during the afternoon.

same, when i uploaded my dream i had to skip to the evening because the illuminated items are just so dull in the daytime

Maybe it's just Nintendo reminding us to conserve energy? The only item whose appearance I don't like the look of in the daytime is the Reindeer. I think that could be due to it being yellow as a default, though, so I might try customizing it to another colour. It looks delightful at nighttime, though! ^^
