I went out looking for Tybalt and

I got Audie on the first island. I don't TT so I try to be selective with who I bring back since it takes so many days for villagers to want to leave.
I don't really want her but it's going to be so hard to leave her here. Why do I feel like I'm going to kick myself for this?

Please give words of encouragement to walk away from this island.

But if you don't really want her, why take her? Do you feel you have to like her due to her popularity? If you don't really like and want her, I would ignore those thoughts (if that's what's going on) and just leave her. There are so many villagers out there, chances are big you come across many cute ones you like better

Tybalt is GREAT he's my jock and I love him, but you should get Audie!
if you don't like her after all you could trade/sell/give her away to someone else, lots of people want her ^^

well Tybalt IS really great, he is so cute.. lovely jock and def the cutest tiger!
but still.. Audie is so cute too! I think experiencing many different villagers is the way to go

I don't DISLIKE her at all which is the problem. If I didn't have my heart so set on Tybalt I'd probably take her back and be excited about it. But I'm thinking Tybalt is easy to get and Audie I would probably never experience unless I found her again. I don't like paying out the butt for villagers that are sold at high prices.
I'm also mad it was the first island. I was ready to go see a bunch of cuties today.

haha I feel the same way! I have some popular ones too and -most- of them were either random or from an island
(I did scan Cookie and Skye) but once I get their picture's I'm going to let some of them go.
I think part of animal crossing is meeting different villagers, so I'd say take her home.
I understand doubting, but Tybalt will be there for you next time ^^
and if you're STILL doubting in like 15 minutes from now, leave her and continue your search for Tybalt

If she's not a villager you're personally excited to have then I would walk away. There's loads of great other villagers out there, whether they're popular or not

I get that 'wanting to island hop for a bit first' feeling. I was ready for some good island hopping yesterday then found Goldie and Fauna as my first two and found both hard to walk away from. Sort of happy I did but did have a run of villagers I wasn't too keen on and quickly ran out of NMTs so was a little stressful!

I had her and she wasn’t that great. I found her again on my 2nd mystery island once and walked away. Why take her if you don’t really want her?

I was also one of those who fell in love with Audie at first sight. I fell under her spell. Her coloring is just so nice and she’s gorgeous. Her whole design is very tropical and she’s new and exciting. She’s also a wolf so that’s a lot of plus points. After I had her in my island though, it wore off. I let her go as I found peppy personality doesn’t really suit her somehow. I couldn’t connect with her as much as I did with other peppies. I guess peppies are for cats, bunnies and cubs in my eyes. But you’ll never find out if you don’t try so go and see how you find her for yourself.

Well if I find a nice villager on an nmt island while looking for someone, I would just walk off. It was the same thing in NL when I was getting my other favorite villager by the campsite method and found Flurry (which I like, but not who I wanted) so I closed the game and did it over again until I got the villager I really wanted. You should take what you want, not what you don't want.
