I am sure they are, along with additional items which come in the form of exchange gifts. When you gather a certain amount of points, you have access to certain gifts.

every item that is in wild world is in city folk because you can bring your catalog from wild world, makes sense doesnt it?

yes the mario items are not as rare as they were in the GC and not nearly as rare and hard to get as in Wild World (in wild world you could only get them by a ds event at toys r us) which i managed to go to and get them
