I wanna try covering just about my whole town in flowers.... Good or bad Idea? I usually go too the island and take the flowers there. Any of you done it before?

I had my CF town covered in flowers. Every single inch of it. I loved it but it's a lot of upkeep.

Never done it before, but the whole town with flowers? Sure it would look pretty. But do you have paths. If not make some paths and cover the whole of your town with flowers except where the path is. That may look good. escpecially after the grass under the paths start to wear down and you had dirt paths, it would make it look really natural and pretty. (most likely)

Mine is gradually becoming this way. I don't give a damn about flowers, so I've had the Beautiful Town Ordinance in place since the beginning. But this means that my villagers just keep planting more and more.

I say go for it, but definitely set beautiful town so you don't have to water if you don't feel like it. Nothing was worse than worrying about my hybrids wilting in City Folk!

I like lots of flowers too. I have the Beautiful Town ordinance in place which means I don't have to water anything. Another bonus is that I never get tires, boots or cans when I'm fishing.

When you sign up for the ordinance it does say that you will get no weeds, but for me at least this isn't true. I usually see a weed somewhere every few days. It's worth keeping an eye out for those if you are trying to improve your towns rating.

Maybe a lot of flowers but not around rocks (for the money rock) and enough empty spaces for fossils and stuff?

That's what I'm going for in my town and I won't be getting beautiful. So that will be a pain. But worth it.

I never covered my whole town with flowers, but I'll be honest. I planted at least half of it and it still took me like 10m to water them all. Unless you have beautiful town ordinance, I wouldn't really recommend it if you only have a regular watering can.

If you really want it to be all flowers, there's a way to make semi-paths. Choose a specific flower- let's say red tulips. Now, where you want the paths to be, only plant red tulips there. Voila! You have a field of flowers but a 2-wide lane of red tulips to guide visitors! You probably won't want to run on them, though.

Another thing, for every flower that's in you town, fossils will become a little easier to find. The same can be said for paths. Four fossils will show up every day, and when they do they will pop up wherever there is an open space, with preference to those that aren't directly behind something. If you have only a few open spaces, the fossils will always be really easy to find.
