I void villagers and have no qualms about it. Is this bad?

I think I've only given away one villager (Phoboe). I'm such an impatient person that I tt just to have a empty plot. I've voided Reneigh, Lily, Poncho, Anhka, Flora, and Bella. In that time I have gotten Diana my all time dreamie. Ruby my second all time dreamie Oliva my third all time dreamie Sprinkle a cute penguin and Kid Cat a better cuter jock than Poncho. Oh and I've gotten O'Hare as well. I didn't realize how many villagers I've voided until I counted.

I've voided a couple villagers, but I don't TT so I did try to find them homes first. They'll just end up attaching to the first people you visit after they're moved out until your void empties, so it's not really a big deal.

I voided Sherb. I was trying to give him to a friend and she came and got him, but I noticed later that the game never saved. I let him go to the void hoping she’d get him anyway, but she ended up getting Kidd instead. I kinda felt bad.

Its your game though and you have a right to play it however you want and shouldn’t have to feel bad IMO.

All of my villagers have been voided, it is my choice after all. If people do not want a voided villager, they should not be visiting islands with a plot open.

Nope, it isnt. All my villagers were voided and it was the same in nl. I think i only once gave a villager away since i started playing these games.

I void some of my villagers, but I've also given away a couple of them.
I don't think it's bad to void them though, if it's a villager I liked I tend to try to find them a new home.

I don't think I've voided anyone really popular... some cute ones, like Melba and Gala. While I would like to give them away, my island is such a mess that I'm not really ready for visitors (too much stuff laying about, no paths, etc.)

Also it can be difficult for the person who wants them because they have to clear a plot first, and that requires some time. If the mechanic was different, similar to the campground/amiibo where they kick someone out (preferably of your choosing) I would give away villagers. But as is, it's not the easiest process. People can't even leave a plot open because the game auto fills it very quickly.

All of my former villagers have gone to the void. I've tried to rehome most of them (giveaway), but if no one wants them, what can I do? I would have prefered for them to go to good homes, but I'm not feeling horrible about voiding them. In some cases I would like to know where they ended up, but I guess there's no way of tracking them.
I don't think it's anything to feel bad about, unless you have a certain attachement to a villager, but even then it's entirely up to you and sometimes there isn't even another option. They are just moving away, this isn't the end for them.

Definitely not a bad thing. I only have voided a handful of villagers as it's quite easy in this game to sell or give away villagers. Plus selling popular villagers for NMTs allows more island hunting in general, which is essentially my favorite thing to do!

i don’t consider it a bad thing - i’ve let a few villagers be voided when i didn’t think anyone would want them or when i was too lazy and didn’t feel like trading with anyone lmao

I just have my voided Flora go to my friend's island because she didn't find a villager she wants to take in on the mystery islands yesterday lol I did say to her that she could possibly get the 2 voided villagers I have (Flora & Drake) so I guess she was cool getting either anyways as she didn't complain when she got Flora from my void earlier lol voiding isn't bad since sometimes you don't have a choice but to void them anyways...

Unfortunately that's not how the void works.

Regarding the topic, I don't think NOT getting overly emotionally attached to pixel animals in a game is wrong haha.
I personally do try and get my villagers adopted, but I have voided one and didn't really have second thoughts about it.

To each is own, really.

Voiding villagers is sometimes just inevitable. I wish the void wasn't a thing honestly, it seems to do more bad than good :/

I've only ever let 2 villagers leave - Rocket and Snooty. I really do not believe anyone would have taken them anyway, plus I really don't like having people over because I don't want the villagers to talk about random people. If I was letting a popular or even semi-popular villager go, I'd just offer to friends. If they don't want them, then into the void they go. I don't see why you should feel bad for this!

when cycling villagers, I only wait one hour for any of them. thats it. I post it on discord since wanted villagers receive requests in seconds. so usually, the villagers are adopted in minutes. but if they are not claimed in an hour, to the void with them.

Back when I was cycling villagers, I just let them go into the void. Now that things have slowed down, I try to find people who will adopt them first. If there are no takers, then I'd finally let them go into the void.

Don't feel bad about it! I do this often as well, since it sometimes takes ages to set up a trade with someone even if you're giving away a villager. Hopefully there will be a way to clear the void though, I must have dozens of villagers in there since I was cycling them out with amiibos for a while!
