So cally was suppost to move in, so I did the villager plot trick and couldn't find the plot. So I did it to the next day and she had already moved in...

ON MY PATH, INFRONT OF MY HOUSE, AND ON TOP OF 3 PINK CARNATIONS:mad::mad::mad:

So let's just say I will never be trying that again, and I'm going to tt cally out.

Wait, so you then went to the next day and started with your mayor?

No I tted to 5:58 today at first, and then after 6am on a new file her plot wasn't in my town, so I did it again only to find the house already built and cally in boxes inside -.-

Sometimes the plot is tricky to find if you aren't used to it. If you can't find it, keep looking. If you still can't find it, reset and look again.

Oh, well I don't really know what happened then? When I do it, I use the systems clock to TT a day forward, and then if no one is there, I just start it up again because sometimes it doesn't always show someones plot in your town.

Do you mean you then went back to 5:58 the second time?

TT-ing to the start of a new day isn't necessary. If you expect a plot to show up soon, start a new save file, find the plot, and if you like it, save. Just make sure you don't go on your mayor, otherwise the trick won't work.

If you didn't save the day no plot showed up, one has the chance of showing up the next time it was loaded.

This. If there is no plot, you must finish the save and tutorial, confirming that there is no move in.

^^^ This one.

Though what I usually do is TT one more day forward and try again with a new save.

No but if you're waiting for someone to move in, you shouldn't save. Just end the game without saving and start it up with the alt character again. There isn't always a plot in the town. Just keep on trying until you get the spot you want.

It's necessary if you're using the in-game clock since you can't change the clock without the game saving and loading up your character.

It's so much easier to just wait until the next day, or just to change the 3DS clock.

Actually, I did the "TT to 5:58 AM" thing, and when I started a new file and ran around, there was no plot even though it was after 6am in the game by the time I was done with Rover. And my flowers hadn't changed, new snowballs hadn't spawned, etc...

So I think you need to start the file after the "day" changes. Like TT to 5:58 and wait a a few minutes before starting a new file.

By the time you finish with Rover, the day would have already started.

Okay, I have no idea what language you're speaking here, so here's how I reset plot:

New villager's going to move in? I go on my game anytime after 6 AM and do a new character. I go around my town, intensely searching for villager's house plot.

-Find it? Good.
Don't like it? Reset; do it again.
Like it? Save.

-Can't find it? Check again.

-Still can't find it? Then my villager isn't moving in today and probably will tomorrow. And yes, villagers will delay sometimes, which I'm assuming is what went wrong in your go with Cally.

If I'm ecstatic to the point where I want my villager right now, I TT to 5:58 AM (because you can only TT with your mayor and we don't want to play her the next day), log out, wait a few, make a new character, done.

Not everyone wants to change the 3DS clock. There are people, me included, who have digital versions of games which are time sensitive, and messing with the 3DS clock puts you in a "penalty" of sorts since the 3DS clock also messes with the time in the digital games, even if you put it back.

I use the in game clock because I would rather not be penalized in my other games.

I've always wondered, is there really a difference between changing the time in the game or in the 3DS system? I almost always change the time with Isabelle because I'm too lazy to figure out the time in the system.
