I think Nintendo is getting into the modern internet comedy spirit really well...

Lol true! Let's keep Animal Crossing a respectable game, no? It would be super embarrassing if they added in some dead meme like dabbing or Harambe or whatever into AC, or any game for that matter. Internet comedy and actual jokes should be kept well away from each other. I don't mean to start an argument though!

Exactly! One day they'll do it and we'll all have to bring our pitchforks and torches to the Nintendo treehouse! I swear it's always them who take these big leaps when translating games, most of the time in an attempt to try and appeal to the internet of today.

It's amazing how fast a meme can be born and turn putrid.

I suppose I could get this closed before any shenanigans happen. I really don't know how on this board.

Don't worry about it! (Me asking for the thread to be closed) was a joke, since people had discovered the truth regarding Plucky's amiibo dialogue, and thus the purpose of the thread had disappeared.

Wooowww u guys are gonna hurt Nintendo's feelings.

Nintendo showed no care for our feelings when they announced amiibo party

( ͡? ͜ʖ ͡?)

Sorry Nintendo, but somebody has gotta throw a bomb of truth into your face! (This is just revenge for not bringing back my bby Woolio in the WA update!)

WOOLIO! D,: Nintendo's getting mean :c But people still manage to like them, jsut because they're getting out another console in 2017 x-x

I knowwwww my bby Woolio deserves better than this! I was so disappointed when he wasn't coming back! (He would've been the best smug villager) Maybe he will come back sometime, maybe the next game, maybe another update, but HE WILL RETURN! (The sake of my sanity demands it!)

Internet memes + video games = NO. We've already seen it happen to TV shows and boy was it horrible (cough Powerpuff Girls 2016 cough). PIEGUYRULZ on YouTube made a very good video on why people (including myself) hate memes being implemented into TV shows (and video games in this case).

NOPE DONT EVEN BRING UP THE POWERPUFF GIRLS 2016
I loved that show when it first aired, and now... *shudder* I can't bear to watch the reboot, I've watched the first few episodes and apparently it just gets worse.
But yeah, memes and video games should really be kept separated, by a 50 meter high wall. In pokemon they have managed to subtly reference a few Internet jokes so I didn't really mind too much as it was barely noticeable (and they weren't the super-cringey and easily-outdated ones)
Pls Nintendo, don't do it!
