I think I've been cursed by a kangaroo... ;_;

I'm not sure if this has already been said in the thread or not, but the game decides who is moving when you load up the game.
I've tried the ignoring trick on Benedict. I introduced myself, and haven't talked to him in over a week. HE WAS MY TENTH VILLAGER AND STILL DIDNT PING. However, I think the game decided to have someone move that day. It just wasn't Benedict. It was Kyle. I think the game just decides when you start up the game that someone will move, not necessarily being a specific person. I think the game randomely chooses when a villager decides to bring up a convo saying, "SO-and-SO are moving-".

Dotn quote me on that, I may be wrong. But I think my theories are correct.
Yeah, it does seem random to a certain extent. But I just don't understand why she is the ONLY one who hasn't asked yet when others have done so multiple times. I guess I'm just unlucky.

Kill with kindness.
I had Benjamin stuck in my cycling town for about a month of cycling.
I used the "ignore" method but that didn't seem to work, so I actually started to talk to him, do favors, etc.
The villagers that ping you are all random and it just takes some time and patience.
Good luck!:3

*BTW, he's out of my town now.

That's comforting to hear. I'm really trying to be nice to her in the hopes she'll decide to leave. I just can't fathom why Wolfgang already asked 5+ times and she hasn't asked even once.

Unlucky :( i do laugh at your hatred of Kitt though, and the fact she doesnt even get to have her pic in your signature

hehe... Yeah, I know it's rather funny. :)
I honestly like kangaroos in real life but I can't stand them in-game because they just weird me out with their little spawns sticking out of the pouch. :/

Maybe its an omen.. put her in your signature and she will go ;)
I dont like the Kangaroo's either theyre creepy
I'm guessing you dont TT? i dont either, and in Parfait i want Curly to go.. luckily hes asked to move, but i cant let someone go without their picture its such an annoying obsession, so im hoping someone sells one on here, so i can get him the hell out -.-

I agree with everyone that you should kill her with kindness. That's what I did with my Kitt but lost her in a TT accident since she always wanted to leave. (She was one of my favourites so I was always nice to her) XD for me it was the other way around though because I didn't want her to go.

You know... Maybe I'll do that! That's it, I'm updating my signature picture tomorrow. XD
I don't TT in my main town - it's really too stressful since I have 9 villagers in there that I love.
A couple of my other villagers left me a photo when they moved out (Rod and Willow) so maybe Curly would do the same? :)

I wish my Kitt was more like YOUR Kitt (and vice versa, I suppose).
I see that you're a kangaroo lover so please don't take any offence to my post. :P

Hmm.. i've only had the town since February 4th.. and hes the first to move, so i doubt it.. i may just let him go, and keep searching for his pic on here :)
Yayy! You can thank me if she does leave :p

I'm not offended at all, you're entitled to your own opinion XD
It's mostly Rooney that I love compared to the rest of the kangaroos x3

I'm pretty sure it chooses the specific villager too upon loading... hell, even upon just changing the date I believe. Otherwise things like resetting if the villager decides to stay and then TTing to the date they're in boxes/out logically shouldn't work.

Yes, it definitely does that and that villager's action is basically set for the day which is why when you quit without saving, the same villager will ping about moving and even if you don't acknowledge their pings, they will still move on the date the provided.

Yeah, it's got nothing to do with the items. The fact that you're carrying stuff can, however, mean that another villager gets to ping you before the mover does so the mover will not be able to ping for another 5+ mins (this happens to me all the time in my main town). I sometimes have to reload the game several times because random villagers ping me before the mover gets a chance to and that delays the mover's ping.

That happened to me today, and I had been under the impression that movers always were the first to ping. Pecan asked me for a catchphrase, so I figured there'd be no movers today. Later on, Skye announced her intention to move (shot that down).

I'm glad you don't have to move somebody before the 10th asks to go. Erik is my last move-in in my town of Alpine, and I want him to move to Mirage eventually but I don't want to give anyone else up to do it.

I've used this method twice to get villagers I want to leave to do so (of course with short time-travels). Very tedious but works somehow.

The villager that is moving will ping you about moving before pinging about anything else. However, other villagers ping you as normal. Only the villager that is moving will ping about moving.

I've been cursed by a kangaroo, too, Sylvia.

I want all of my villagers living south of the river and she is one of the villagers living above it. She pinged me the other day to move and I told her, yes, go play in the turf wars. She said she was going to move. The other day, I was talking to her and she mentioned she was moving again. Again, I told her, get out of here.

To my surprise, she said, "Wait, I can't leave like this. I still want to be your friend."

I rage restarted so hard. I don't even care about all the changes I made to my town from when I booted up to that conversation. I just want her GONE.

I feel you.
In the future, it's best to just ignore villagers that you want gone once they tell you that they're moving (that's what I do).
