I streetpassed myself!?

Today something really weird happened. I was playing a little before breakfast, and when I came back from eating my sandwish I noticed the green blinking thing on my 3DS. I got suprised because I was at home. Did someone walk past our house or something? I doubted it since I live in a small village and what I know noone else than me in my Village is playing Animal crossing: New Leaf. I then decided to investigate that green sting and opened my 3DS, noticing I've got a notice that said I'd streetpassed someone. Now as you all may know in that notice it tells who you've streetpassed with and here is where the weird stuff started. It said " You've streetpassed Fidelio from Elmbrook." ... MY OLD AND DELETED TOWN `WHAT??
How can you possibly streetpass yourself..? Fidelio must be ghosting around.. And YES, it was the same house, same mayor I had before! Im so confused... Have this happened to you before or is this a rare thing haha?

I Streetpass myself all the time, but I have 3 consoles and 2 copies of New Leaf. I'm guessing you only have the one 3DS? That's really crazy!

As I said earlier, It was tha town I had before this one. I deleted it. Somehow I streetpassed myself, but in that case why didn't it happen before? I've always had streetpass activated to animal crossing.

I don't see how one 3DS could streetpass itself, travelling through time in the process. Weird!

The only explanation I can think of would be that someone did Streetpass you but you hadn't checked since using your old AC save in another system..? I'm not making much sense here.

My sister have another 3DS, but I used my new ACNL game on it that day. My heads going crazy about this

Wow that's cool but also a bit scary. I mean why did the store data on something that's already been deleted? If I were you, I'd contact Nintendo about it. I'm really curious what they have to say.

happened to me once before ; v;
I got a balloon out of it. I figured it's because I used my cycle town on my main DS which is a digital copy. And used my main town on a spare DS because it's a cartridge. Must have mixed up the data when I used my game cartridge in my main DS.

well if you used it on your sisters 3ds then it obviously streetpassed it as another system if you put the game in it?

Tho I wish that could happen to me, I'm a country where nobody plays Animal Crossing xD

I meant that I got the streetpass from the exact same game where I had my old town (That is now deleted), which I now have Melonia on and not Elmbrook(The deleted one)
The other game I used in my sisters 3DS was new.

Wow that's cool, i wish i could do that, I never get streetpasses where i live I'll never get the badge...
