I Reset My Town By Accident...

So I was starting up my game as usual and then I accidentally clicked on Re-Create Town and went ahead with it. Is there any way to get my town back or am I gonna have to reset?;-;

Doesn't the game ask you to confirm twice to destroy a town? Not to mention getting Isabelle's drawn out shocked/sad speech about everything being gone? It seems like it would be hard to accidentally do it. But I'm sorry to hear your town is gone

IO don't understand how you accidentally did it lol. It asks you twice and it makes the "yes" option on the bottom so you have to move the circle pad down.

I can buy the bit about you accidentally clicking the wrong thing. But when you say you "went ahead with it," it wasn't an accident anymore. After Isabelle freaked and asked if you really wanted to delete it, that's when you should have said no. Enjoy your new on purpose town.

I genuinely didn't mean to do it, I have had my town for over a year, and had almost all of my dreamies, but what's done is done and I can't go back

theres been times where I've almost deleted cycling towns just bc I repeatedly tap the screen without paying attention, but I can't imagine doing the same thing on my main towns. and when I accidentally click re-create the town instead of change the time, it's really hard not to notice Isabelle's speech and her whole expression.

either way, I'm sorry for you losing your town. at least you get to start fresh now c:​

I don't know how you could accidentally reset your town unless you close your eyes, turn the volume off, and just start randomly pressing buttons (maybe that's what you actually did). The game gives you several chances to confirm that you want to reset so that accidents don't happen, but if you are really that careless then there is no safeguard to save your town because there has to be a way for people who really want to reset their town to do so.

I really don't understand how I managed to do it, but my sound was off and I must've been preoccupied because I genuinely didn't mean to do so. What would I gain from deleting my town and lying about it?

Also, does anyone know how to close a thread; I have the answer for my original question and I can't stress enough that it was a genuine accident.
