I ran out of storage finally, how did you manage?

New Leaf had three times as many items. The thing that fills up storage here is crafting materials.

This game just has color variations of the same stuff.

I googled even more items I wanted to use to theme my island.
Not a single one of them is in this game.

I try to clean a few things out of mine on a regular basis and besides Saharah/Gulliver stuff and expensive things I pop out of balloons (like cute furniture) I don't hoard a lot. Don't think I've broken 600 yet. I try to be at least somewhat minimalist with my wardrobe and regularly take things out and sell them if I notice I'm having a hard time putting an outfit together with them. (Still have dozens more shoes than I will ever own irl LOL)

Turnips and spare DIYs go outside in dedicated areas I've designed for them. The two units of space or so behind my shops has a bunch of tables where I can hide my turnips, NMT, whatever else I'd put back there that I don't want out and visible to everyone. DIYs as of today have a setup on the beach in front of the shops using stalls and log benches. I'm not too concerned about Isabelle complaining about clutter... yet

I wish NMTs weren't stored in stacks of 10 because I'd literally save sm space

I've been at max capacity for weeks now. It's actually making the game less fun at this point because I have to spend so much time doing item management. I want to create a mule character, but I don't know where to put his house.

I've been sending letters to my friends and villagers every day for a while.
