I ran out of storage finally, how did you manage?

That happened to me already, I just sell, put out or give the furniture to villagers or to my other account.

I give a lot of stuff to noobs my boyfriend and his friend. Since they are so new to the series, typical stuff people see as "junk" is amazing to them. lol

My DIYs are getting a bit unmanageable again so I'll likely do another goodie grab back event of sorts that will include DIYs and random things from my storage.

I gave everything I could to my various friends around the Internet, and when there were no requests left, I sold about 1,000,000 Bells worth of furniture, fossils, clothing, etc.

I got rid of clothes I didn't love and unhoarded some of my crafting materials.

And it barely did anything. So you just succumb to the hoard.

I'll literally never fill that many spots. So...I'm not worried.

All I keep are bulk crafting materials, and a few rare reward items that can't be purchased. I don't even keep all of the rewards...because most are things that I just never see myself using for any reason. If I don't have explicit plans for something, I usually sell it...rare or not.

A huge percentage of my storage are clothes. So I guess I'll just sell those that I rarely wear.

After unlocking the basement for both main players on 2 island I have room again.
I have an extra player on each island to store some items.
For clothing/furniture in different colours I sell those. If I need them right away I can mail them to my other island and pick it up.
With all the special event Items I wished the game had saved mail like ACNL had.

I've been out of storage space for the longest time and still trying to put more stuff into storage, so I'm just selling off anything I don't need that's reorderable to make room for other items I want to store.

i tend to sell things that i know i'm not gonna need or use.. but a good chunk of my storage is becoming clothes (because i literally can't help myself) so i need to go through that and just sell or give things i don't wear often.

Mine is almost full.. the problem? It's mostly clothes! lol.
I try and clean out my storage pretty much every other day because if not it will always been full. I think I have like 30 empty slots right now?

Once I hit 1600, I sorted out a ton of stuff then either wrapped items up for a treasure hunt or sold them to Nook's. Every once in a while I have to go through my storage again and get rid of stuff I don't use and don't really want to hold on to. My biggest problem is having multiple colors of the same clothes lol. Getting better about selling the ones I know I won't actually wear/gift though.

I also have a 2nd character that I've given about 200-300ish items too. Mostly items that are more rare or things I might use for their house. My main character usually has about 1500 items in storage.

So in addition to teaching myself to be patient, I've also been trying to live a bit more humbly because it just feels cozy to me for whatever reason. I stopped at the upgrade you get right before you get a second room on your house and basically I'm limited to only 120 items in my storage, and I'm making it work. I'm only keeping my most values possessions and a tiny bit of clothing in it since I rarely change clothes anyways. I'm enjoying myself, actually. The way I see it is, if I can reorder it and don't use it daily or leave it out on display, I do not need to keep it. If I change my mind later I can obtain it again. As for stuff you cannot order, I simply pick and choose. What do I know would be very hard to get again? What do I not want to be without? Etc.

I'm nowhere near filling up all 1600 spots but i'm going through my storage and selling things i don't need/want to people on the forums
it's a great way to get bells or get hybrids i need

I literally made another account yesterday to start storing the complete sets I have.
My main storage has mostly clothes and resources haha
I think clothing should have it's own 'closet' as oppose to taking up storage space which I would have considered an area for anything besides clothes
