I accidentally placed a custom path by a bridge and now nothing I can do will erase it. Clean-up services doesn’t work, terraforming doesn’t work, nothing. What else can I do other than pay 200k just to remove the bridge and put it back later so I can access the spot?

I had a situation very similar to this, thou granted with version 1.3 and not the newest version that happened tonight.

My situation was resolved by terraforming the path again, it was a corner path and for the love off all things Nook, I could not kick it away. I had to use either the dirt or grass to take it away and get really close to it.

If nothing else helps, it might be a bug but I hope not.

Huh... I've never had that issue. You've tried going over it with grass or another path, then? And you've tried removing it with Y? Sometimes it can be tricky to get your character placed just right in order to erase it, but I've always been able to eventually erase the path.

Hopefully it's not a new bug!

I had this same issue and posted about it on here a few weeks ago...

I never found a solution that worked for me, as I ended up quitting the game to prevent it auto saving each time, but loads of people on there assured me they can be removed, so maybe some of their advice might help you?

Good luck! Let us know how you get on.

Try to use a regular default path to paint over it. Then paint over it again to get rid of it once you find the right spot. It's tricky but you can do it.

Thanks for the help, guys! Since I originally posted, I made another error with another patch under the bridge. Through a lot of guesswork and constant mashing of buttons (Y button and whatever else), I managed to remove it. The first patch, though, I ended up adapting the rest of the path to it. Not an ideal solution, of course, but it is what it is.

I'm sorry to hear that, Barney! Good thing auto-save didn't kick in for you, though. It definitely kicked in for me (I also tried quitting the game), so I had to find another workaround. Thanks for posting the link to your thread, though! I'll definitely check it out once I get back to terraforming.

Honestly, I wish outdoor decor was as easy as indoor. We need one of those grids and other tools that we could toggle on and off while outside. That would be really helpful... Imagine actually being able to select multiple things at once and moving them!

I’ve had this happen before, I think I was able to get rid of it by mashing Y and just walking around until I got the right angle😅
