I need to visit someones town

I received error code 018-0512 when trying to visit someones town, so I need to test whether it is my firewall or theirs that is the issue. I just need someone to add my FC and open their gates so I can try to visit.

Yeah it is still giving me the error code :-( I am sure it is because I use my college's wifi (so I can't do anything to the router)

I just tried to test mine last night, but couldn't find anyone who was able to come over, so I wasn't able to test it. But it looks like it is your schools wifi that is causing the problems. Hopefully it will work at Starbucks later!

I actually can't use my school's wifi for Animal Crossing either. Tried it a few weeks ago.

Thanks to both of you ! I read that you have to set up your 3ds as DMZ through your router settings, but since all the students can't have access to that stuff, I guess I just have to go to mcdonalds or starbucks everytime I need to trade :-/
