I need help with plot resetting.

Okay so I used merengue amiibo card to get rid of Francine , The problem is that merengue keep plotting her house exactly where FRANCIE used to. I have another open spot for her [3x3 with an open 1x1 square for entrance but there are 3 trees inside the open spot] , so here comes my question , are trees going to get in the way of not making here plot there? Iam at my 10th reset and she is stubborn.

I feel like I should have chopped the trees

Trees won't have any effect. Amiibo villagers do have a tendency to plot where the villager they replaced use to live, though. Don't give up! As long as all the other criteria are met for the spot she'll plot there eventually.

Yeah they can be incredibly stubborn sometimes. I find that if I want them in the same spot, they move somewhere else. If I don't want them in the same spot, they will stay there until you plot reset 50 times. It's proven fact lol, the game knows. Don't give up! It might help if you time travel back to present day again and open up another space if you're ok with doing that. Then at least there's more of a chance she will move to one of the other spots. AHH! [Panicks] i just came back from school and I saw the wrong plot in the game preview screen , does that mean it saved?

Pancake, bud, you can rewind time on your 3DS and it will rewind your town's time. Like, if you rewind 3 hours on 3DS and it's 7:56PM in your town, it'll be 4:56PM. If you rewind before 6AM and give you enough time to place paths, it'll prevent them from going there. I understand that you can't place paths where Francine was though since she'll be there when you rewind.

No it doesn't. If you haven't been on that day and it hasn't been
a full 24 hours since she started plotting, you should be fine.
^ so basically another 6AM. Idk if you understand me. lmk...
