I need help moving Merengue out!

My main question: Can your newest villager ask to move out?

I've been trying to move out Merengue for what feels like forever D: I think I started TTing to try to get her out for about 2 weeks now (I've been TTing a few hours each day). I tried the ignoring thing up until today...and now I'm trying to befriend her today. I think she's friendly enough with me to ask to move since she's saying just about the same things as Coco and giving me free stuff but she won't move T^T. Is it because she's my newest villager? Can your newest villager plan to move out? If that's why she won't move out, I'm going to feel like I wasted so much time D: I think every villager except for Merengue asked to move out at least 5 times...

I've never had so much trouble trying to move someone out T^T

There's a theory that the last villager that moved in won't ping to move unless you move another villager out. But not sure if that's true, just keep trying sweetie! Good luck! Here's a time-travelling/moving out villager guide if you need it!

That theory has been proven false many times, I've seen it myself as well. I've had my most recent be the first to ask to move. So it's no worries.

It took me 1 month to move Ozzie out and finally complete my town (I love Fauna <3!!) So it's a matter of patience.
I tried ALL. Ignoring, making a new character and ignoring, being friendly, sending garbage, EVERYTHING! and what finallt worked for me was this: Talk to everyone about 2 times, 3 maybe, but talk to that villager till the "thought bubble" appears... go day by day, this was the way Ozzie moved after 1 ping from Marina!... BE PATIENT AND GOOD LUCK!

It's also been rumored that once another villager has pinged to move, even if you denied it, the tenth villager will no longer be except. I really hope this is true. I believe it to be, as Peanut was a last move in and she still moved first.

Once I had chadder move in. I ignored him. The next day, he pinged me to move.

The newest villager can move. I had Violet move into my town. Literally on the first day she was out of boxes, she pinged! Even I was surprised. 0.0

I heard about the whole newest villager to move-in can't ping to leave unless someone else does before them, but it's false. They can ping to leave too.

I know your pain. I thought it would be a cool idea to test streetpass out, and than I get such an ugly villager... Now I try since 2 days to ger him move out, and it hasn't worked yet. I hope we both can make them move.

Was Violet your 10th villager at that time? I've gone through so many non-Merengue move out pings that I'm starting to think it might be impossible T^T

Your best bet will be to have a high friendship with her and then she'll eventually move out. It'll take time but keep sending her presents everyday and give her perfect fruits when she asks fornit, talk to her regularly and catch her rare bugs and fishes. But also keep in mind time travelling can take a very long time too. I once had to TT for hours to get a villager out. We had very high friendship too so I guess it's just random who wants to move out. Goodluck! Don't give up!

I'm also not sure if this is true, but I heard villagers won't ping to move out if they have things for sale in Re-Tail-- so check to make sure she hasn't put anything up in there, just in case.

I filled my re-tail so my villagers won't put anything for sale. But I did move out a villager that had something for sale before in my cycling town. I always give her fruits when she asks for it but I always refuse the bug and fish catching ones because I don't want her to put them in her house. I do the same for my other villagers who've asked to move many times.

I had very stubborn villagers, I used my second character to talk to them and ignored and that finally got fuchsia and buck out.
THEY didn't even ping to move that is how stubborn, my crankys told me they were thinking of moving. I spent eons trying to get them to ping. It may not work for everyone but it did for me.
