Hello, today Bubbles pinged me to move, I told her to go ahead but she changed her mind so of course I shut the game off, expecting her to still be wanting to move, but now she won't ping me, I've tried restarting the game a few times, even done the diving trick and snuck past my other villagers so she's the first to see me! The only thing I can think of is asking around for rumours. My gates have been open quite a bit today, could this make a difference? It's gotten ridiculous, I was so excited that she asked to move, I want her gone even more now!!
Anyone come across this?

If she pinged and you turned off the game without saving she'll still move. You don't need her to ping again. Her moving date will be the same day she gave you before changing her mind.

I'd say that she's still moving if you quit without saving after she pinged. If you have another character you can use them to get her to ping.Otherwise, you can wait until the next day and see if she'll ping again.I've read on another message board that villagers can't ping while your gates are open so that could be why she hasn't pinged again.

Thank you guys! I think it must have been the gates, I didn't realise when you save and quit with your gates open that they stay open when you load up, so they must have been open most of the day. After I closed them she pinged me again, and then decided not to move again (ugh, peppys!) so I quit without saving but now I'm avoiding her and some of my villagers have started mentioning it now (they had been keeping quite all day!). Thank you again!!

Just for future reference.....if a villager asks to move, and then says yes, if you want to be sure that they leave (and cannot change their mind) they you cannot talk to them ever again (even if they ping). If they are given no chance to back out, then they have to leave.

If you do talk to them and they change their mind, then you did correctly in turning off the game without saving.

Thanks Arbra, I am usually pretty diligent with my villager pings and moving, it's the first time there's ever been a muddle, I even keep a checklist of who I've seen that day and how many days since last ping, and I avoid moving villagers like the plague unless I'm trying to dissuade them, but I usually play with my gates shut so I'd never come accross that before.
The advice has been really helpful though, I was concerned that if I assumed she was still moving then I might miss one of my keepers trying to move out!
