And by old role, i mean his role in Gamecube, i just think it made much more sense! Sahara selling the carpets and then Wendell selling wallpapers i will never understand why they decided to give Sahara both.. and it sucks in this game as you can never see Wendell wandering in your town he just seems a bit obsolete in the dreams, they might aswell have let Luna be in charge of taking patterns
DOes anyone else miss Wendells old role or just me ?
I miss his old role as well. It was so adorable when he sold me wallpapers. He's one of my favorite NPC's. I guess they jsut wanted to change things up, and thought that if Sahara sold carpet, she might as well sell wallpaper as well. However, I do think Wendell looks adorable in his jammies. Lololo. ♥
But I can see where your coming from, and yeah, I agree. I miss his role. But they can't change it now. D:
I miss it too...but I never knew he sold wallpapers in GameCube! The oldest version I have in Wild World, and by then he was always asking for food. But by the way you described it, I'm sure I would have liked the GameCube role better.
A lot is changing now...sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. I just wish Nintendo could keep something similar to the old versions other than villagers.
I never met Wendell in wild world, but then I didn't play it much. I know what you mean though.
Who knows, maybe he'll get lucky in the next game and become a visitor again or even run his own shop where you can look at patterns online. It will at least make him feel like he's part of the village again.
Bumping this because i just got reminded of Wendell and it really has annoyed me hes been delegated to pointless...
Why did Sahara need to have both, its just stupid
I like the idea of Wendell's own shop. It could be in a room in the back of the Able Sisters where the QR machine is. It would be relocated in there and you could even give him food for premade designs like in WW and CF.
I never had the GC version, so I didn't know about that! But I do miss his WW role of asking for food, it was funny to see him begging for anything. I gave him flowers just 'cause.
