I misplaced my PWP by ONE TILE

I'm really frustrated! I should have put the archway sculpture one tile forward so it would line up with my paths but I couldn't see very well due to trees blocking it. I thought it was okay up until the fence surrounding it showed that the exit would lead to one tile above the path already there. Ugh, I'll have to wait another day or two to fix this mistake. >.<

Has anyone else had really annoying problems like this that were caused by a short time mistake but take a lot of time to fix?

I've had a similar problem with PWPs, the only problem was that it was with my cafe, so I couldn't undo my mistake, at all. I wanted it to line up with my mayor's house in my old town, but her house was off screen so I just had to guess, and it wasn't until I paid it off that I realized that it wasn't lined up. Absolutely nothing could be done about it and it drove me nuts to the point that it was a factor in my decision to reset that town xD

What I always do before I place down my PWP's is save and continue the game, then I try to get Isabelle to cooperate with my desires of where I want the PWP to go and place the donations down. I usually use patterns/items to see if it's lined up properly to whatever it is I'm trying to align it with, and if it isn't, I just press the home button and quit the game. And then I try again. And again. And again.

What I do personally with PWPs is I dig holes in the ground to mark where I want it, and then have Isabelle show me the completed project until it's in the correct spot. Still beyond frustrating though! I feel like it would be easier if there was some sort of "highlighted box" you could move across the surface of your town via the touch screen to place projects. You know, like every other game in existence that allows the construction of buildings? lol

Ah those are good ideas, I wish that I had thought of those before this happened lol. Oh well, at least I know what to do next time! I have marked out where to put flower arches with patterns (once I can get a suggestion for that PWP!) so hopefully this won't happen with those.

I did that today with my fence and bridge... I didn't line them up... Ugh

At least it was a temporary pwp instead of like the campsite or cafe or something. I usually save before I do PWPs that way if I mess it up I just restart and try again

If it makes you feel any better, I misplaced my Mayor's house by one tile also. It looked like it was perfectly centred but then it wasn't. :c
