I Made a TBT App!

Just realized there'd be no need to have this app ported to iOS. If you have an iOS device you can have the TBT front page on your home screen, like any other application, and when you click on it, it'll take you directly there.

You can do that with Android, but the app is cleaner than the webpage alone.

vBulletin forums are a mess on mobile. Different fonts, signatures, avatars - there's no uniformity to it so it can only look good on either a clean mobile app or the desktop version.

This sounds like an interesting idea but I think that I'd only feel comfortable downloading it if it was made by an admin, (or Moderator) or that the staff recommended it. Until then, I think I'll hold off...

They all look the same to me on the TBT vBulletin mobile version.

Wait, there's actually a mobile version accessible on mobile browsers?

If so, then what's the point of the app?

I am on these forums 99% of the time on my iPhone and personally I hate any mobile take on any site. They just plain suck in my opinion. So I always quickly scroll to the bottom of the page and tap the "Desktop" option. It works way better and is easier to look at in my opinion.

Therefore I have no interest in website viewing apps sorry. :P

You need pie.

The forums look a bit weird on phone, because the sidebars are all goofy and stuff, and images don't always load if you have bad signal. From what I've experienced so far, the app always loads it correctly. .gifs are iffy, though.

Pretty cool, I'm posting from it now!

Edit: btw you should add a refresh button :p

It wouldn't even be on the play store if it stole passwords, please stop whining!

I did say this up there, there's no need for the app, this is why one has never been made.

Oh wow, clearly someone knows so much about the internet, anything can be stolen if not well protected.

I do actually, they check every app for things like this before it can go on the play store. ;)

Doesn't stop oh I don't no phishing, identity theft, hacking, all that lark. There's more to passing their inspections. If information isn't encrypted it's easy to take, for instance, online sites use https (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure) for online purchases and other sensitive information such as usernames, addresses, passwords... Etc. now, if this stuff can still be stolen, I'm sure they can take the App Store.

P,us u don't think an application should have been made without Jeremy's permission. It is after all, his forum that he pays for.

idk the mobile version on my browser sucks ass its like all over the place, stuff overlaps. but I use the "full site" version bc it just looks better and I like the tbt layout

I really dont need to waste memory on this yk

I use the full site on my phone, the mobile one is fine but I prefer the full site.

Let's imagine someone stole some passwords.

Person1: I stole some passwords!
Person1 sees what he can do with these passwords:
1. Transfer other people's TBT bells to his account (assuming he has a TBT account and cares)
2. Like 1 but transfer collectibles instead.
3. Post under someone else's name for trolling or some other reason.
4. ?
5. Get that user banned somehow.
Wow such a good use of time.

Nice, not the point. Personal information, I've shared phone numbers with friends over pm vise versa, my email address and other personal information. I don't understand why it's so hard to understand, security is an issue, but you guys don't care what so ever.

I made my app with AppGeyser...And in the AppGeyser Privacy Policy page it clearly states:

"We intend to protect your personal information and to maintain its quality. We implement appropriate measures and processes, such as using encryption software when transmitting certain sensitive information, to help us to keep your information secure and to maintain its quality."
