Have you ever had a villager that you love but you seriously wish that would get out of your town?
This is me right now with Whitney. I absolutely love her and she has been in my town of Blushe since day 1 where she will continue to live forever. However, she came into Moonfall as a random move in and I do not want her there whatsoever and cannot seem to get her out no matter how hard I try she won't ask to move. Every other villager in my town has asked to move for what seems like a million times but Whitney just won't budge.
To make matters even worse she is in the EXACT spot I want my campsite. I've already landscaped the entire area and just need her to move to be able to build. I have half my dreamies and no campsite and I don't even want to buy anymore because I'd like to try to get atleast a few dreamies myself. It's absolutely ridiculous. ;_;
So any similar cases here? Please share your stories!
I wish Rod and Merry would hurry up and leave. Both were move-ins from peoples' voids and that almost always places them in bleak territory with me. At least Merry plotted somewhere decent, but Rod plotted in a small square right next to my campsite. I need to place a pwp or something down there because he's the 3rd villager to move in that spot. -_-
If you're okay with TT'ing there's a pretty nifty TT method that works and can move out the villager you want in a quick time (TT forward and back 2 days, talk to all villagers).
Got me to move out my starters who I did not like.
I felt that way about Al and Flo. Al was in a spot where I wanted to put a bridge but I couldn't put it there because according to Izzy, it was "too close to a villager's home" and he just wouldn't move for the longest time. Same with Flo recently, even though I kind of need an uchi to get a windmill, I just wanted some fresh faces in town and she wasn't a dream villager of mine.
Well, my town theme now is Forgotten (totally not because I'm lazy ). I let flowers grow and spread wherever they want, except for the bottom right corner of my town, that's my hybrid garden . I let villagers move wherever they want, I used to have flower paths, but now there's villagers' houses right in the middle of them lol. One of my first move-ins was Rosie, back when I actually cared about villagers and where they moved. Of course, because of how this game loves me, she put her house right in the middle of one of the paths I was starting to create. You know the rest...
Well, if it counts, I get this feeling if I have a dreamie in a cycling/holding town that I need to transfer to my real main town. As of right now, the only villagers that I have in my main town that I love are Astrid, Mathilda, Rooney, and Walt, but they are not allowed to leave.
This is a pretty good guide! Although I still see some issues with it under rare occurrences and think dreamies could still be lost in this way...... I think it's safer to confirm no ones moving by talking to ALL villagers until you get two rumor dialogues from two separate villagers to confirm no one is moving. It is possible for the villager who wants to move to still give rumor dialogue and in rare cases not ping you even if you frequently talk to them, I've had it happen quite a few times. Just relying on one villager to spill the news just doesn't seem reliable enough for me. XD I use kind of a variation of the two day method, travel 2 days forward and confirm no ones moving with two villagers, two days forward and confirm with two villagers again, rinse and repeat till someone is moving. I don't travel backwards until I find my mover then either tell them to get out or stay. After this I travel back to my start date and repeat the process again. So the difference is I never time travel backwards until after I have found a mover which saves a lot of TT backwards in between each time you go forward and wasting time.
I've never lost anyone by accident in all 3 of my copies of the game and villagers ask to move frequently so it works very well for me. The problem is Whitney is never one who wants to move. XD
