Seriously, I can't do nothing right in this game. On the plus side, I have 3 wolves as starters: Fang, Whitney and Skye.

I think that's pretty good! Since you can't do any of your mayoral duties on the first day anyway, it's not like it's a waste of time! Just participate and try to enjoy it

i shall. I'm going to try to get the lovely phone.

Lucky! Besides Skye, Both whitney and fang are my dreamies i am trying to acquire (they ninja-moved on me, so I have to do the 16 villager cycle ;-; )

LOL ninja moved. I have no idea what that means but it sounds funny. And I'm sorry they ninja moved on you. Would you like me to let you know when any of them are moving out of my town? It might be a while though.

i agree with the_storyteller- take it slow and enjoy the wait!

i think it's because i always see you here on this board posting about your resets and new towns and new goals (which are really fascinating to read about, ofc! :)), but i think this reset habit of yours stems mostly from the fact that you get impatient?? i totally understand that though- i always want to develop my town as fast as i can :') but i think in the long run, i'll be a lot happier playing acnl if i take it day by day and don't sweat that i can't get stuff done right away.

i think it's a lot like real life- there's trials and errors and a lot of time stuff goes badly and you waste time and money, but if you stay patient and enjoy the wait, each little victory will be delightful, each day will bring few regrets, and life in town will become a beautiful success

wishing you luck with your new town! remember: it's supposed to be a long slow slog, so just buckle in and enjoy the relaxing journey! :)

Those are great starters!!! I am Skye's biggest fan. I wish you lots of luck in your new town, I hope you find this to be "the one!" Haha :) I get your struggle though, I'm a habitual resetter as well. Have you considered getting a second cartridge? That helped me a ton! I have one town that I've stuck with for a few weeks now at least, and one that I can reset on when I get the urge again. Idk what it is. Seeing new map possibilities? Villagers? I guess the feeling of a brand new town where you don't know every square inch is great too.

Haha ninja move just means they moved without knowing it was going to happen haha! Skye did that to me once and my stomach dropped. So I bought her card that very day on eBay.

Yeah, I'm very impatient, so I decided to just stop, I picked a map already, and I decided to not plan stuff ahead of time, especially for projects I don't even have or wont have for a while. I also decided to go theme less. There is no theme in my town. It's just my town no theme, because then I would start obsessing about getting items from certain themes and if no one suggested a project I want, I will get frustrated enough to reset again. Also not worry about villagers moving out. I think that's one fo the reasons I reset my last town, because no one I wanted to move was moving. That's not a good reason to restart so I'm not going to sweat about it in this new town. Also also, I'm not landscaping until all my villagers move in otherwise, I'd be annoyed if there is a villager in a place I want to put a tree or something.

Now my style of play: no planning, no plot resetting, no forcing villagers out, no theme. Just play.

Take it day by day

I was actually thinking about getting a second copy so if I get the urge to reset, I'll reset on my 'reset' cartridge while leaving my actual town alone.

Edit: Dang I typed a lot. Sorry about that.

Currently I'm looking for my perfect peach because I don't want a villager to plot on it tomorrow
