I love Cally!

She's been in my town since day one and I absolutely love her! She has been there even when I forgot to play for a few months and I KNOW she loves me back. My house is even near hers! She is my best friend

Can someone please explain to me why Cally is so hated?

She was always an absolute sweetie when she was in my first ACNL town. I had no idea people hated her so much until I was really reading in the boards. Is it where she plots her house?

I liked her but she was just too plain for me to really like her...

A lot of people don't like her eyes always looking in the same direction.The same goes for the other "fixed eyed" animals like Iggly and Deena.I had her in my cycling town a while back and her eyes didn't bother me.She's a nice little squirrel.

I don't think it's the eyes' direction. Lots of villagers have the same feature of looking off to the side for example most of the wolves, Rosie, Francine, Marshal, but they're all really high up on lots of people's dreamie villagers list.

It's more likely because of her proportions. The placement of her eyes are too far up her head, which might be what throws people off about wanting her. Plus she's normal and there's so many other "better" design options to choose from in that personality category even though she might be a sweetie.
