I agree that it's easier to make friends online. As well, you jump a huge barrier straight away, finding common ground.
Here, it's we all play video games etc.

And really, it can build from there.
So having that first thing in common that we can talk about is a big step, makes it alot easier to talk to someone new. ...for the most part that is.

But you can get to know people better if you voice chat with cool people via Skype. Just break the ice, play some vidya games, make witty posts, and hang out. You'll be friends with anyone in no time. Eventually, you'll be a highly respected member of the community, and maybe even a useful part of the forums. Try not to feel alone here. You have friends irl but it's bad to be lonely in any world, digital or universal.

Not really, you may not be physically with the people, but the feeling of friendship can still be felt, and chatting with them is the same as chatting in real life, you can even talk with mics, or use webcams. What I meant was, On the internet you can lie about your life, It's very easy. But sometimes it can go out of hand and you lies start to get twisted. You can't actually say all about your details on the internet so you can't really judge them. Most people I meet act kind at first and then they do something unexpected, So you can see what I mean (If you do).

What I'm trying to say is that you can't have a perfect friendship online, Only a 80%-90% good one. In real life, You can have a good one as you know a lot about the person so you can actually know them.
