No, the difference between the Game Boy and Game Boy Color is very similar to that of the Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi. The Game Boy Color wasn't an entirely new system, just as the DSi wasn't either. It had the same graphics and played the same games (except some GBC exclusives), but with some added features (most notably color). It's exactly like DSi. It has the same graphics and plays the same games (except some DSi exclusives), but with some added features (most notably the cameras).

micro was a downgrade (micrograde, if you will :3) due to not being able to play game boy/color games.

micro's still kickass, either way.

Regardless, they're both just called TVs. Just like the gameboys are just called gameboys and so on.
