I finally have the option to add a police station in my town (thanks, Roscoe). I REALLY like Copper, but I also like the look of the classic police station a lot more than the modern police station. Has anyone else had this dilemma?

I guess you should ask yourself how often you plan on actually entering the police station. You'll have to look at the exterior constantly as you pass by it every day. If you plan on going in to see Copper often, then I'd build the modern station. If you feel you'll only enter occasionally, then I'd build the classic station.

...although the fact that "REALLY" is in all caps hints to me that Copper is more important to you than the exterior! :p

I do plan on chatting it up with Copper if I see him. I just love how uptight and formal he is, it's really adorable. But aesthetics is also a big issue in my town. :(

Hmm... you will be going in there on a daily basis if you're too lazy to search on the beach for Gulliver and for checking for lost items.

Okay, so that comparison didn't really achieve much and those tables look seriously wacky.

Um... yeah, I don't know.

I shouldn't be saying this, but if you have access to having tools such as the Ninjhax exploit then you could wind up with both police stations in your town, if that floats your boat. That is one of the few exceptions to my anti-hacking views. :P

Ehh. The only reason I would use something like that is if a good villager moved in a really bad spot.

That chart is right on the money, though.

I think I'm going to go with Copper. I'll just have to try to find a way to make the can station look good in my town.

Alright.

This will either make it blend in more or look out of place, but try surrounding the police station with greenery such as trees, hedges, bamboo, flowers, any of that good stuff.

Alternatively, surround it with paving and have a little urban area in your town... somehow... for some reason. Animal Crossing towns are usually very natural though so I'm not sure how you'd go about doing that.

Personally, I wish I choose the modern police station. It's much more true to the original in the gamecube and although that doesn't matter after seeing a thread with differences between the modern and classic police stations I wish i'd chosen the modern. It has a much more nicer interior and every time I pass behind the classic police station I really dislike the square roofing. Other than that it's honestly really lovely though. I think even if you go for Booker, neither of them have much dialogue to say as it is so it isn't all that different between the two. I do really wish I chose the modern though, Copper is much more straight forward and Booker doesn't sound like he knows what he's doing half the time so I always have to double check when I ask him about special visitors. He would've been a good companion for Isabelle too, since the police station is very near the town hall.

Overall, just go for the one you think looks the best! Even if Booker may not be your favourite, you don't have to talk to him all that much if you don't want to. (he's pretty awkward anyway..) if you honestly like the look of the classic better i'd go for that since you may end up feeling unhappy with the one you chose especially if you don't like the way it looks.

Funny thing is - I really reinforced my house, made it basically into a fortress. All concrete, metal door - to make it safe against burglars. Finally I was able to build the police station, but I didn't know about the differences between Booker and Copper at that time. So I built the classic police station right next to my house. For safety, you know? Then I talked to Booker. Well, and there went my feeling of safety... :D
