I have three towns.

My first town is ROXVILLE and my ORIGINAL game. Never reset it. My first layout. Everything the same as I got it, with minor renovations here and there.
My second and third town, Sno & CLOUD, take up more of my time because I'm just so invested in both games. I have millions of bells for both of those games and not my original so I tend to want to build Public Work projects and such.

I've thought numerous times what if I reset my first town and start from scratch? But then I get all nostalgic on when I first got the game and Freya has been a villager since the very beginning and she's never moved!

I know, I'm being a big baby on this but I wanted to ask yall's advice on what I should do!

Should I reset ROXVILLE or should I keep it and work on building it up?​

I'd never reset my original town, if I were you I'd just work more on it, but that's just my opinion.

I would never reset my first town. It's still my favorite and I have 4 real towns.
Once I month I walk around town and stand in front of spots to see if anything can be changed to make it better.
One time the light bulb went off and I fixed the park from my 10th villager move in. It was before I knew about plot resetting.
Moving a couple of PWP over a few spaces and fixing the paths fixed the problem.

If I had multiple cartidges, I'd never reset my original town. Just reset another town if you want a different balance.

I would never ever ever reset my original town either. It's 3 years old and I have so many memories on it. I did want to reset after about a year and half, but I decided against it because I'd worked so hard on it and I was very attached. Getting a second town helped with that, too. I agree that if you have several towns, you shouldn't reset your first.

I would focus on one town at a time. You can start a hiatus with out villagers moving in your other town by declining them when they ask to move away.

If I had the choice between multiple towns, I would definitely not reset my original town. If you're going to reset a town, reset one of your extra towns.

I see alot of people saying to build it up again, but personally if your town was like my town I think you should reset.

When I got my town I had a terrible map, I was excited to play the game so I didn't care at all what it looked like, and to make matters worse I put my house in the only narrow awkward area, practically impossible to work around. I was on gamefaqs at the time and wanted to get my dreamies but I had never heard of landscaping a town, ever. I let villagers put their houses wherever, I would time travel constantly and wonder why my best friends wouldn't stay, I put the cafe right next to my house in the narrow spot, I put my campsite as close to the river as possible. Basically, I was working the kinks out because I hadn't played an animal crossing game since city folk, and all that was was a mad dash for bells for me. After Ireset my original town, once on accident and twice on purpose, i started playing so much differently. I began landscaping, putting down bushes, trees and *gasp* even placing paths. I reset for a good town map, and I would plot reset for good placement of houses. Everything came together after I learned what to do and what NOT to do. But eh, maybe you'll miss tting anytime you want, and any other perks that comes with a first town, and sure I miss it, but nostalgia wants us to live in the past, and to that I say, reset.

I ended up resetting my original town. As much as I worked on it and tried to build it up, I was never happy with it in the end and it did takes me several months to finally have the nerve to reset it. The dream address is still there and I visit it every now and then when I'm feeling nostalgic. Sometimes I miss it, because it was a pretty town, but other times I walk around and remember the issues I had with my map, and how I couldn't put things where I wanted them because of rocks or the layout didn't leave enough room and I'm glad that I did.

It's totally up to you though. If you start building it up maybe you won't run into the issues that I did and really like the way it turns out. Don't feel bad if you do end up resetting though. Villagers can always be obtained again. If you save a dream of it beforehand you can always go visit when you miss it.

I was thinking about reseting my first town, too, but I'd miss Erik (he was there from the beginning) and my other villagers too much. It might take a long time, but you can still make your original town all Tumblr-like.

I reset my original town (I also have three!). I don't often miss it, but when I do I just visit at the Dream Suite. But really, it's up to you. Go with your feelings.
