She's just cute I guess, I personally prefer Skye over her. Her design is charming but it's bland so I also don't see the popularity about Lolly, of course I have her in my town but she's back burner to Skye.

I got lolly as a starter, I like her alright but after Winnie and Katt she needs to go, she is sweet but not my style I guess, so I don't get it either just like I didn't mesh with Marshall or Flora it's hit or miss I guess I never liked Marshall but he was a tt accident out so didn't get anything for him original but it wasn't meant to be. I love Olivia though and most female cats I would just rather get ch?vre or another dream norm.
I may miss her a little but I don't love her so like Gala and Tucker from other town she must move on. There are only a few villagers I regretted letting go after and have got all but three back though not original so am thinking it through same as sprinkle...but I don't think I will with her she is just ok to me and I know others want her more. I never go by lists anymore but she is sweet her style is very non my town though and I find her bland, I love to love my villagers if I don't I let them go or if have had them at max friendship forever and a day and ready to change ie Tucker will then too.

Why is this back? Can we just realize that people have different opinions? If you don't think a villager is cute, then cool, move on with your life.
People like what they like, I guess. Some people probably like the popular villagers because of the hype around them but I think that many just happen to like them (and there seem to be certain looks that are more popular among players, just look at the number of towns that have the same themes). These threads asking why certain villagers are popular are getting kind of old, we just have a sticky where people could dump these questions and ask them over and over.

I personally don't care much for the hype with Lolly. It's their opinion though, which I respect. You could bring in a few good bells by auctioning her off at the Villager Trading Plaza.

She was one of my starting villagers in my main town and even though I usually don't care much for the cat villagers, she quickly grew on me and is my mayor's bestie.
I had no idea she was so popular until way later. I just think she's a total sweetheart.

Oh my goodness, guys. I'm sorry for the "bad thread!" I really am though, I was brand new here when I posted it. I didn't know such threads were so common. I genuinely was curious what people loved so much about her because before coming on here I had no idea she was so popular and I wanted to see her through everyone else's eyes.
I'm glad I asked though as I developed a newfound appreciation for things about her that I had taken for granted. Next time I'm curious about anything ever I'll, um, keep it to myself and never show my face again and change my name and run away to another country and then maybe swan dive into the nearest active volcano for good measure?
