I have a Wii game that's freezing

Hi, I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I need some help.

One of my games keeps freezing, and I don't know why. It worked perfectly fine before. It could be because I got a new TV, but this TV newer than my old one, wouldn't it work better and not worse? I've tried playing it on my Wii and Wii U, and the disk doesn't have any major scratches that I noticed. It always freezes at the same place in the game. All my other games work fine. What should I do about this? Thanks.

That's actually pretty weird, I would've mentioned a Hardware problem with your Wii but since you said Wii U, It shouldn't be suffering if that's the case.

How severe are the scratches? It could just take a minor scratch in the right place to mess up a game.

Otherwise, I'd just contact Nintendo about it, They could provide some more assistance.

This was a while ago, so I don't really remember if there were any little scratches. It's been in its case for a while, so I don't think it got any more from the time I last played it. The only thing that's changed is my TV, but I don't think that could do it. I have had it for a while, but all the other games I've had before it still work. I really want to play this game, so I hope I can fix it somehow.
