I hate weeding day.

How do they honestly expect ALL of us to have enough weeds for one another to pull up at each other's towns to get the complete flower set? It's ridiculous! Why couldn't they make it so we can get the whole set just on our own?

And I hate having to change my ordinance in order to grow weeds. I think I'm going crazy, I obsessively water my flowers each and every day, sometimes twice, and they're still dying off! Stupid holiday. ;;

I went over to a friend's town earlier and Leif was like,
"Pick 30 and I'll give you something." And I was like LOLNOPE.

It's terrible for the people who don't like to TT...

I'm mostly fine with the Weeding Day prizes you get from Leif if you talk to him as a non-mayor and your town is weedless. IMHO the violet screen and the lily record player are the coolest prizes. Except for that lily lamp- that's the only other thing he has that I want. Luckily they're easy to find in the Re-Tail forum.

I don't like the set that much anyway. It's good and all, but it's no Ice set. I LOVE the Rose Sofa though.

Luckily I have a second copy and a second 3DS, so I was able to do it on my own, but I probably would have skipped it otherwise. A lot of people don't even have other people to play with, and most people aren't part of any sort of AC community so they're screwed if they want one of the eight pieces you can't get in your own town.

I'd expect Weeding Day to be good for a 7 year old who was too lazy to pluck weeds and take the game as seriously as us. I just wish weeds popped up that day so that you could actually earn stuff. Just think, I wouldn't have even gotten one item from Lief today if that one weed in my town wasn't around. Laaame.

Pretty much the only reason I like it is because it features Leif (he's cute! I don't know why I like him so much). I also love the furniture set, but I also dislike the holiday because it's so hard to get all this nice furniture that I want.

It's the same with the Weeding Badge. I like the aspect of AC that's all "good things come to those who wait," but this doesn't feel like it's embodying that concept at all. It feels counterproductive to that idea, in my opinion.

A Rose sofa, violet screen, lily record player or the cosmos fan are all things your non-mayor characters can get if your town is weedless. The other stuff like the hibiscus clock and hydrangea bed are only Happy Generosity awards. I think that's how it goes, anyway.

Yeah, and those are the pieces I want the most. I LOVE that bed!!

Even now the frenzy in the Train Station forum is dying down and I guess I'm screwed out of getting my Flower Set for another year. :/ I TT, but it's next to impossible to find stragglers with the insane amount of weeds needed to get all the pieces. Kinda like trying to find egg-nog the day after Christmas. Or turkey the day after Thanksgiving.

My only gripe with Weeding Day was that Leif glitched out on me and didn't suggest topiaries to me. Town was perfect, so I TT'd forward a day to see if I got them... I did.

There are some really nice people in the train station thread where they have tons of weeds in their cycling town and are willing to let you come and pick on weeding day.

Someone had 900 weeds in their town and let us come. I got the whole set that day.
