I hate not being in the US..

Well, If streetpass is the OP's main concern then they're barking up the wrong tree. That feature is pretty much useless here, and if I remember correctly from the Inside the Treehouse episode, Reiko even said that they put in a feature targeted at the US and other countries besides Japan because of the lack of opportunity for streetpass.

If you're having trouble finding someone in your country, it's pretty sad. I'm stuck on a ship in the middle of the ocean for weeks on end and I still end up getting people on streetpass. I send you my condolences.

Is that from other sailors on your ship? I assume it is anyway.

For me, I have yet to even try to Street Pass. All of the games I have for 3DS don't have any Street Pass features I care about, and having WiFi on uses up battery power faster. I'll use it once I get NL though. I assume Street Passing Japanese people playing the Japanese version of the game will still let me see their houses in the Happy Home Showcase even though I'm going to be playing the US copy. I still see people playing NL all the time here in Japan on the trains, so I guess I'll get to test it very easily.

If you are that concerned about it, then move. Its that simple :D I never had a streetpass before, and I live in UK :/ You would think 3DS' are popular here right? Wrong. Its all about XBOX's here I'm afraid >_>

Uhm, its really not simple at all. I don't think you understand the things you have to do and prepare for a move to another country. It can cost thosands of dollars (or whatever currancy) to move and live in another country before you can even apply for citizenship to that country, plus you can't work until you are a citizen unless you have a work visa. There is so much more you have to do. There is nothing easy about it.

I've had like, ~100 street-passes. Even just by keeping it by my front door windowsill. To be fair though, people gather kinda closely here or something, and there's a big shopping place and my college was compact...

I am in Australia but the state I live in not much happens I think we have only had comicCon and super nova, but only happens every couple of years. I've always wanted to go to the US... Might get there one day if I start saving.

Which may or may not be true.

I know this is religious content and not all will have the same views and beliefs, but my beliefs say that God made us from the earth and made Adam (Man), after that he put him to sleep, took a rip off of him and made Eve (Woman). However, from science they say the we started from organisms, turned into fish, washed up from the shore, became monkeys and then evolved into humans. Anyway, however we were made, we were made from the earth.

Oh, and in America, it's hard to streetpass with anyone.

Oh, and in America, it's hard to streetpass with anyone.

That's half true. I don't live in remote areas or anything and I StreetPass sometimes. But because I only ever StreetPass with people whenever I bring my 3Ds to school, yes, it is fairly difficult.

Not true actually, I live in a small city barely considered a city due to population. Honestly I still streetpass with people I just bring it my purse in a hidden back pocket on sleep mode and bam I get people even at the strangest places. Believe it or not airports you get tons of people from there and with that it helps you unlock new regions. I was just flying back from my vk yesterday and I got about 20 on the way there, at the airport, and on the way back to my home. Honestly the point of this post besides the tip is your not going to get aton of people even if you live in a metropolis. You just need to be patient after all considering most whom own a 3ds or 3ds XL forget the street pass feature and dont carry theirs around often; its also is true that you cant just expect to have 20 people like that just by going out once with it, it takes time.

I have the same problem but in France I still find one or two people by month. But when I'm at the Japan Expo / Comic Con I got more than 100 people.

One solution : Go live in Japan!

I'm fortunate enough to live in New York which is crawling with all sorts of people. Thankfully, gamers fall under the category "all sorts of people", so I've been fortunate enough to mess with StreetPass a lot. With that being said, your situation isn't as bad as you think it is. Besides, if it bothers you that much, you can always save up and take a trip to a heavily-populated area that is brimming with people that own 3DSs.

I didn't own my 3Ds when I went to New York so I never StreetPassed there.

But still, even in my little town, I StreetPass enough for my plaza to have 220 people in it.

I live in South-east Asia- I hope I can get some streetpasses there or international travelling (which I do a lot).
*sigh* these forums can only feed so much of my NL obsession when I don't actually have the game yet. I have just over 2 weeks before it gets here. Having a friend bring it back from the states.

Since I don't live in Japan, where everyone and their dog owns a 3DS, my streetpasses are few and far between, I did however get a streetpass the other day from someone who was playing New Leaf.
