Omg I love that streamer as well. She is hilarious and lets her comments just roast her, as well as roasting her comments back sometimes. She also does amazing edits to the youtube videos she posts.

I agree. People are allowed to have their preferences over who they want/don't want on their island. I've passed on Coco, Rosie, and Judy while island hopping as well.

I only really talk about AC on here or with IRL friends, and sometimes reddit. So I never see this kind of stuff - it seems to be mainly on twitter and youtube. But honestly if you don't know the person personally I would just ignore their comments if you can - their rant/opinion doesn't mean anything as long as you're happy with your choices

I passed up Merengue, Lolly, and Flurry on the island because I think they’re ugly. I found Bubbles and in my opinion she’s way cuter so I moved her in asap.

Some people also seem to get bullied for liking popular villagers.
Personally, I have a collection of some popular and not-so-popular villagers that I really like.

Attacking someone just because they pay attention to the 300+ other villagers that exist and not going for the same 10 villagers like every other YouTuber/Streamer does is just silly. Nowadays, whenever I check out on YouTube people's game play and experiences on villager hunting, the majority only searching for the "rare/popular" ones, even if some of them doesn't even seem to like the popular ones that much and only doing it because their fanbase apparently liking these villagers. Like, I don't know one YT who doesn't have Marina, Zucker or Merengue for example on their island (because "popular","cute" and all) and honestly, it's getting a bit boring seeing the same villagers over and over again. Therefore, it's nice seeing someone who shows their love for a more unpopular villager.

As for myself, I also passed up lots of the more "beloved villagers" on my villager hunting, including Judy (although I pick her up the first time when I found her, traded her however later), Marina, Zucker, Maple and three times Sherb just because they weren't on my dreamie list. Just get the villagers you like and don't give a Nook what others think, it's your game and island so do what you want and have fun.

There’s this girl who streams island hunting that’s Czech and she’s hilarious. She passed up Raymond and other popular villagers because she wanted Clay. It’s funny seeing how riled up people get.

Just watched the video yesterday and she's by far my favorite AC YouTuber out there. The way she passed up Raymond was golden.

It should be okay to like "unpopular" or "ugly" villagers. It should also be okay to like "popular" or "the same villagers as everyone else". People need to stop being immature. Let people be happy. If you can't let someone like something and be happy about it because you don't like it or it doesn't make you happy, then you need to maybe sit down and talk to someone about why you may be having these problems. This is no different than similar real life situations in my opinion. Don't treat others poorly for having different interests than you. I'm tired of people devaluing and degrading others for having different interests and hobbies and priorities. It makes me so angry! People complain because everyone is the same, they also complain when someone is too different and it bothers them, just leave other people alone if you aren't going to be nice!


For me personally, I like to see diverse towns, and I like for my town to also be diverse and different from others. I enjoy a variety, but I will NEVER make another person feel bad nor would I judge them because they have that one villager that everyone else has. I will also not feel bad for having that one villager that everyone else has, because it makes us happy.

And it is also totally okay to dislike a villager. People shouldn't give you a hard time for disliking or liking any villager. Everyone should be able to have opinions and feelings without being attacked.

The best thing you can do when you cross paths with a high-strung individual is to nonchalantly rebuff their comment with something outrageous.

All i'm gonna say is,, I wanted like Raymond but I found cuter cats. My sister loved Raymond but due to the Fans she's weirded out and lost interest. Not everyone has like the "cuties" of Animal crossing,, hecc I don't care for Marshal but I love Filbert due to my experience with Filbert,, Double hecc,, I got Anhka because she was popular and she looked cool but when I got her she was just..meh for me same for Flora so now I don't souly base my opinion on looks,, reactions experiences everything matters.
