I hate earning medals!<>!

Ok, this is a semi rant/ question thread. What game do you prefer to earn island medals?? I absolutely hate how slow going this process is, and by the time im done, I don't even want my item anymore hahaha

I've found that the Elite Scavenger Hunt is best in terms of medals earned to ease/amount of time spent in the tour. The Tuna-Kahuna and Giant Dragonfly tours are also good, but they require a little more focus than the Scavenger Hunt, in my opinion. I'd also recommend going on tours with friends since you'll earn bonus medals.

Ugh...don't I know it! The hardest for me, embarrassingly for me, are the Hide and Seek (I'll NEVER even try Elite), anything above the Easy Hammer (that stupid little truck escapes me at EVERY turn...) and even the Easy Labyrinth makes fun of me. I swear I can hear those hedges giggling at me. I wasn't born with a GPS in my brain like my husband was. I'm a real directional dumb-dumb.

I excel at Sharks, Tuna Kuhana, and Scavenger. I've never even tried the diving tours (sound too boring and frustrating) and I have yet to come across one about Fireflies that I've heard about but never seen. I'm beginning to wonder if it is an ACNL sort of Urban Legend...

The only reason I can't score higher is that I keep accidentally digging holes I don't mean to and that stupid long dialogue about keep or bury it just eats my time alive. Elite Scavenger all the way for most medals with the least amount of effort/time. It shouldn't take more than 2-3 minutes once you're familiar with the items and gold earns you 16 medals.

My favourite is Tuna Kahuna, even though it requires a little more brain power than others, I find it is also good to hone your fishing skills

Tuna Kahuna for sure for me. I happen to be very good at lining the lines up with the Tunas' mouths. And if I have a couple of minutes I just collect two baskets or so worth of fruit and wait to sell it at premium.

I don't mind the time. But yeah...Elite Scanvenger is great with the Time, but I seem to prefer the Tuna Kahuna. I also love the huge SPLASH when you toss it back into the water, just like the Shark one! I look the casual "toss" and the gigantic "SPLASH!" it makes.

I stink at it so badly my hand is sore even after Easy. Granted, on Easy I make the most medals you can, but I have absolutely no desire to try to level up. Ugh...I'd get carpal tunnel or something for sure. I just am plain bad at it.

Haha, the Fireflies one does exist! It's nice and calming and a good break if you're bored of medal grinding. Plus you get to hear the nighttime tour music.

Ooh... I can't wait to hear the music when I finally get the Firefly Tour. I adore the music for the Ancient Fossil Fish. As I recall it is always wonderfully raining and the music has a beautifully tinny sort of sound. I love it.

And yes...the cute casual flinging of a whale shark over your shoulder is hilarious!!! I wish I was fast enough to catch the right moment of that on the camera. Lol!

Pro tip for farming medals: Have fun

I can't stress that enough. If you're not having fun playing mini games, you should probably take a break or not do it in the first place. I'm sure there's at least one tour you'd enjoy a lot. Me in particular, I like the scavenger hunt one a lot.

I think my favorite tour to get a bunch of medals in is the Elite Scavenger Hunt. Today, I didn't have it in my tour list so I had to settle for the Pro-Fishing one (nets 12 medals for gold). Other ones I'm semi-good at are the Firefly tour, the official fossil hunting, the elite ore hunting tour, and official hide and seek one.

Over the weekend I started trying to keep at least 50 medals on hand so I could island hop in TC and not have to play the games. Well, since I've started doing that, I haven't seen anything I wanted or didn't have already lol.

Deep Sea Diving is very easy for me. I think that's what you call it. I'm not good at the scavenger ones at all, sadly.

I make the time spent on the cruddy games go by faster by rounding up friends who are interested. Bless the poor souls going after the Gold.

I'm grinding for the gold medalist badge right now, so I'm touring a lot. Elite Scavenger is the best because doing it 10 times in a row gets you 160 medals and only takes about half an hour. The other day, I did the 10 times thing three different times the day it was available, and my medal count went up pretty quickly.

The Elite Hammer is another good one because it only takes 3 minutes. That's key for me. If I do it 10 times, I get 120 medals, and it only takes 30 minutes. The dragonfly one and the tuna/sharks would give me 200 medals for 10 times, but that would be a full hour instead of 30 minutes! In the same amount of time, Hammer would give me 240, and Scavenger would give me 320!

Games change at midnight, so I'm going to go to the island soon and hope for better games tonight. Didn't have scavenger yesterday.
