Ya'll I've hated Annabelle ever since she moved into the 10th villager spot right in the middle of a Clay trade and after about a months she's finally gotten the point:

Congratulations to you!!!! I've never had Clay before, but the drawing is adorable. Did you draw that?

I got Gaston!!!!!

I've built a secluded little cove for him, and it fits his exterior and interior so much. He has a secret beach all to himself under a cliffside town I've been painstakingly been terraforming to my satisfaction for the past week.

I've never cared about him before, until I saw him on a NMT island a few weeks ago, and because I was trying to find Walt I passed on him (ended up with Fang instead of Walt, who I then gave away to friend....). He fits the cranky personality type so well, and his house is really... hilarious in every way. I love that he has quickly become one of my favorite villagers, and I love that he's under appreciated because I've always had a tendency to like a lot of the popular villagers. I went island hopping again today after Sherb moved out, and 8 islands later I found him. Considering the hundreds of islands I went to when searching for Raymond, I'll call it even with the RNG gods!

I've been wanting him and Coco since New Leaf and never managed to get either of them. I'm still trying to figure out his yard situation but need to see his interiors before I start. Your terraforming sounds amazing ~!
