I got a NFC reader and IDK how to use it. Help?

I got one of those "Powersave" NFC readers and whenever I plug it in the light flashes for a second and then it turns off. Do I need to plug it into a computer?

No it doesn't, it needs to be plugged into a power source. It turns blue for a split second and then turns off.

I generally plug it into a USB box and into the wall, if that makes a difference.
