I've had that too. It happened when I did some TTing, if you pay the loan off before he tells you to, he will then say your loan is 0 bells when you speak with him.

Nope. I did what I usually do, walk into his store, he'll tell me that I owe like 498,000 or whatever and then I'll go pay it off. The only thing that was different was that he said that I owe 0 bells.

That is what happened. It happened to me before.
You had your home upgraded, but didnt go talk to him the next day.
You pretty much payed before even asking him what your cost was.

There's no way it was free. You must have paid it off in advance and forgot about it.

Nope. I've saved up about 3 million bells so I haven't deposited any money in like a week.

i dont think its possible to start paying off your loan until you go into Nook's store so he can tell you how much you owe him.
