I found Raymond, and then I lost him.

I've TT so many villagers in to my island I've never even known this could happen. I'm so sorry! I hope Raymond comes home soon!

If you are planning on auctioning Marshal several times, you should probably mention on your posts that he's an amiibo! I've seen threads a while ago where people were suspicious of users who repeatedly sell popular villagers. If you make it clear, it should work out!

no no no no no no no no no, none of that "this is what you get for tt"

this person deserves all the raymonds for that sad mistake, they deserved none of it
You obviously missed the humor, or I missed it in your response.

I'm not sure I understand what happened, but I'm sorry all the same 😭 sucks to get something in a game and then lose it due to a mistake

I’m so sorry this happened to you. I would feel so gutted. I hope you are able to find him again soon!

Omg I feel your pain this is the equivalent of closing the game after finding a shiny pokemon >_<

omg that sucks :( i didn't know that can happen? but wait.... i'm kind of confused, wouldn't there be a villager queue and he'll still move in next? and doesn't it auto-save as you head back home? or i'm thinking when you visit friends? sorry it's been a while since i went to the islands!

I'm really sorry for that, but...

Wait, how did that happen? The only reason I could think of, is you didn't actually invited him (thinking you chose the first option but accidentally chose the second). You mentioned that you did save after going back from the mystery island and before changing the date. He will still come if you actually invited him and move forward, regardless of the date. His house should be there the next day. If you didn't actually invited him, the plot could be sold to a void or random the next day/the moment you change the date.

Now, another scenario that I haven't tried yet is that after inviting him from the mystery island, you went back to your island but did not save and exited the game then change the date. You probably lost him that way.

I mean, if you did surely invited him and saved (and end your game) when you go back from mystery island, then change the date forward, the next time you load the game, his house will be there on the previously emptied plot regardless if you save the game that day (when his house is there) or exit to home menu. It's not supposed to be an empty plot still or would turn into a plot sold to another.

Oh no I had no idea this could happen concerning to know that autosave doesn't always work the way its supposed to I guess?

Oh nooo I’m sorry 😭 I’m sure you’ll find him again!!

Come to think of it how much does Raymond go for nowadays? The price has really seem to come down.

I hit the save button, but I didn't wait for it to save. I hit the home button to tt and I accidentally closed the game because I have a habit of doing so due to campsite hunting in the past. The thing that really gets me is that it DIDN'T autosave

Did you exit the mystery island through Wilbur or just hit save after inviting Raymond? If you exit the island and save after you arrived in your island, well that means everything doesn't save until you properly save your game. I'm sorry for that though! I'm confident you will find him again soon. I found him 3 times before.
