I finally purchased a second New Leaf game x_x

I've been wanting a second town for so long, but hate spending money, so I put it off for what feels like ever.
But in working on my main town I've been getting so many ideas and inspirations that wouldn't actually work in Ivy Lane without completely starting over from ground up. Which, with all the effort I've put in so far, is not happening.

So I broke down and downloaded a second game from the eShop.

I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to do with it just yet. I have ideas, but not an overall game plan. With Ivy Lane I made a digital map of my town for planning, but somehow it still hasn't been as structured as I'd hope. So I think with this second town I'll put even more effort into making everything neat and orderly, while I let Ivy Lane be my more whimsical, anything goes town.

Feel free to share you ideas or opinions on anything here! Talk about your multiple towns (if you have them) or what you would do with an extra town (if you don't). Feel free to also ask opinions or advice on things going on in your town; maybe we can all put creative minds together and help out!

Also, for anyone who might be starting out or need some form of structure, Angie's Town has a wonderful step by step guide of how they began the process of establishing their town: http://angiestown.tumblr.com/post/81133055003/i-love-your-town-probably-has-already-been-asked

I've been wanting a second copy of new leaf for ages. I'm pretty satisfied with how my town looks right now, but I would want a second copy for cycling, storage, weeds, time traveling, etc. Although I already spend way too many hours a day playing new leaf, so having a second copy probably wouldn't be healthy for me haha.

best of luck with your new town~!

Thanks!

I might use mine for cycling and storage at first. I sort of got ahead of myself with my current town, time traveling to get as much done as possible. So I think I'll take my time with this one. I do eventually want it to be nice and lovely!

Currently my second town is a cycling, but at the end of the summer I'm gonna reset it. My method of cycling is kind of slow, but once I get to August I'm gonna just do a big blow out one day where I cycle out all the villagers that I have that are popular until I get a town of randoms, then transfer any stuff to my main that I want to keep or give it away on the forums and start it over and make a second town. I'm hoping by then that I will be done decorating my main for the most part so all I will have to do on my main while I work on my second town is deflect movers. I'm picking up Marshal from my sister soon and I'm gonna hold him in my main for my eventual second town. I want to do a city type town for my second. My cycling isn't really put together much cause I finally decided I was gonna reset it. I've got paths but that's about it.

^ that's also what I'm doing in my second town. I need to cycle out Winnie, Whitney and stitches to my main town then fill it with lower tier villagers or just voided villagers then I can reset :D

Yeah that's basically what I'm gonna do, I have a lot of popular villagers left in my town though, but I've been getting better about getting them to move out more frequently lately. My cycling was also kind of selfish cause I wanted to experience new villagers without resetting my main. I try and get populars A. cause more people want them and B. I want to see what they're like and why they're so popular. But I looked at that guide and I would agree with mayorofarcadia I like to get my paths set first. Cause before when I was just plot resetting without paths down I was like "Oh, sure this looks like an okay spot let's go with this." but then later I realized how annoying it was to put down paths around certain areas. Even if it's not the path you are going to stick with forever I like to put a path down and set my villagers accordingly. Which is another reason why I wanted to do a second town because my main has a few places that bother me. I'm slowly starting to like how I've designed it, but it feels cramped sometimes cause of the way villagers put their houses. If Felicity wasn't in front of town hall I wouldn't have had to put my path with a rock in the middle of it. But I literally have no choice for the way things are right there. But good luck on your second town. I will say if you are stumped for ideas visit some dream towns and get ideas. You can see things you like and things you don't like. :)

Yes exactly c: I got to experience punchy, Rosie (who is now in my main town), Olivia, Chrissy + Francine, kabuki and now stitches c:
I also hate running through my town, without a guide of where to go x) so I like to place the paths as soon as I get the qr so my town has flow and so it looks like its progressing. Plus the plot setting thing with dreamies.

I bought a second game for fun, but now I'm playing a lot with it. My town is really ugly atm, but I don't really care, cause my villagers are cute lol :D

I hesitated too before I bought my second copy, even though I play more with my main town I don't regret it ^^ I TT a lot, it's a different way to play, which I like less but it's interesting and it changes a bit.
Good luck with your new town! Enjoy c:
