I don't get it ... (perfect town & PWP)

So, I have reached the limit for constructing PWPs but Isabelle still says that my town is underdevelopped *--* how is that possible? ;n;

I'm also aiming back at my perfect town status (that somewhat disappeared when my town got more developped; hmm)

I know there are certain PWP that reduces citizen satisfaction, but I have no garbage can nor oil rigs. ^^
I also have heaps of flowers, hybrids, clovers and trees. c:


I'm a bit confused.. halp! ^^;

That is odd. I do know that you can have too many trees in your village, and that'll negatively impact your town's rating. Do you have everything built in the shopping district? Not sure if that affects the town's status though.

The only other thing I could think of would be that you could have too many of the same PWPs. But again, I don't know if this is even possible.


My town just hit perfect status yesterday (first time I've ever had a perfect town in any AC game )
-I have everything BUT the fortune teller built at the shopping district
-I have either 10 or 11 PWPs currently built
-Have a smallish amount of hybrid flowers
-A few gold roses, not sure if they are any different from normal/hybrid flowers in terms of affecting rating

I noticed you had a lot of fruit baskets and some eggs scattered around. It's possible that you have too many items on the ground because of that, since it starts to count against you if you have more than 10 items on the ground at a time (and each basket of fruit counts as an item). Although, I think Isabelle would make a comment about your town's cleanliness in that case, so I'm not entirely sure what's going on with that... It's also possible that you might have too many trees as Maverick215 said, but from what I saw, I'm not really sure that's the case, either. I also didn't notice any PWPs that would cause you any problems.

I'd say try picking up the fruit baskets and eggs I mentioned before and seeing if Isabelle's comment changes. You have a very beautiful town, by the way!

I do have LOTS of Trees in Cotton *--* ! (my town is a forest) There are lots of trees, but paths, flowers and clovers so that we don't get lost ^^
I did not know it would have a negative impact...
I do have some double PWPs as well!

I'll try changing PWP that I have in double (still missing the outdoor chair and instrument shelter)
But I don't think I could cut down the trees ...They make my town complete ^^

Just one more quick thing: Even with my perfect town status, I have 2 benches, so just having doubles might not be detrimental. I was thinking more like over 4 of the same. But if clearing out the fruit and eggs don't help, then maybe cut down on the double PWPs.

Are oil rigs really a problem? Because I have an oil rig and my town has had perfect status (lost now as I've dumped lots of stuff on the ground )

I hope you can get your perfect status soon Lou, sounds like you've got some tips to work with I can't add anything else ..

Single pieces of non-perfect fruit don't count, but from what I've experienced, baskets of fruit do. I'm pretty sure the mushrooms are fine, though. Also, you did have a lot of items by your town tree, but I wasn't sure if those were items you temporarily placed there for dream visitors.

If it is the items on the ground, Isabelle will say that villagers complained about cleanliness of the town- that they say there's too many stuff/garbage on the ground.. Besides I always have 8 present bags in my town plaza for dream visitors and keep perfect town status.

If it's the number of trees (too little or too many) wouldn't Isabelle mention something about greenery in town?

I used to have a very WIP town with a garbage can (i thought it was handy) but I had a perfect the perfect status as well (I think by perfect , it doesnt necesarily mean a 10/10 mark)
But what is strange is that my town has never been 'prettier' and greener.

( I heard picnic blankets gave negatives as well, can anyone confirm? c: )

I find the requirements for a perfect town to be a bit blurry.

I've read around that you need between 110-200 trees, at least 70 something flowers, and at least 10 PWPs. At one point I think I had over 10 PWPs and Isabelle still said my town was underdeveloped and needing more PWPs. I also think I've had less than 110 trees and gotten a perfect town status anyway. I don't think my town has 110 trees right now (still unfinished) and I currently have perfect town status (I have a bunch of shrubs, though, so it may be trees and/or shrubs, I don't know). I was actually surprised when I got it because I wasn't expecting it, it happened as I continued building PWPs. My town has a trash can too so that doesn't necessarily prevent you from getting it.

If you want my opinion, just focus on building the town how you like it for now. I don't know how your town looks, but I'd say add various PWPs (picnic blanket, windmill, lighthouse, etc.) and not just a bunch of lamps or benches, and make sure they are well spread throughout the town and not mostly in one place, too. But don't stress over it, just build it the way you like it and I'm sure you'll be surprised with it in the end.

I saw in a guide somewhere that PWPs actually have 3 different areas that they help into (it was something like nature x urban x ???), and they need to be balanced. Maybe you don't have the needed balance? I can't really remember where I saw this though...
