I can't visit anyone because of an error I keep getting

hello everyone,

yesterday I tried visiting a faraway town but I kept getting the error "couldn't connect to partner's device" after I chose the town I wanted to visit. I only visited a town once and during that time everything worked. I'm also not able to connect to my wifi router with my 3DS, that's why I have to use my mobile data. If anyone has experienced this before, I'd be grateful If anyone would help me out, I couldn't find any solutions.

Well I am sorry for your problems with online gaming. Try to google for "how to put router in DMZ". There you will find a lot of information and the solution for your problems. I had the same troubles with online gaming. But after I put my router in DMZ, everything works great.

I did cost me 2 days, to make it work. Hopefully you are smarter then me.

so I've been looking it up and some people say that turning on the DMZ can be dangerous and since I have to share the wifi router with my family, I'm not sure if I should turn it on,, I'll just keep reading more about that topic
