I can't get Skye as a starting villager...

Ok, lets start from the beginning. So basically, when I first got this game in June past year, I made my first village, and Skye was one of my starting villagers. She instantly became my favourite (along with Phoebe, when I first read about her as well). I kept the town going for a few days, but I had messed it up and ruined the whole thing by time travel. Oops. :3

So then I decided to make my new town, and I kept that one going for a whole year. It turned out pretty good. I finished TNT Emporium, the caf? though I still had a lot to go. But I had made many mistakes while it was there, so I reset again just yesterday. I really wanted a fresh start.

Now here's the problem. I've reset about 50 times already, and I've been aiming to start off with Skye, but it's just not working. I've been trying to get her the whole time. I've gone through so many different villagers, and I got Fang 3 times and Wolfgang and Whitney twice each, but no Skye. 3=

Can someone please tell me what the problem is? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

It's just a matter of luck, I'm afraid. There are a lot of potential villagers in the game, so you're fairly unlikely to get any specific one you want. You'll just have to keep trying.

I do hope you manage to get her. I've had such a variety of villagers in my restarts but hopefully she pops up soon. I was after Whitney and I finally got her when I restarted on the 3rd October.

Here's the best way: keep restarting until you find a village WITHOUT a normal (make sure you like other things about it, like layout and anything else that matters to you). Now, you know that the first three move-ins will be uchi, smug or normal. Do the villager reset trick and try to lock in a smug and an uchi, and then the last one will absolutely be a normal. You now have a much smaller pool of villagers to village reset for. I found Ankha really easily this way.

I've done this many times when restarted my weeding town, it works so well!! It also means that if there are any smug and uchi villagers you're interested in, you could end up with three of your dreamies fairly quickly by doing this. Good luck finding Skye soon, she's one pretty wolf ^^
