I can't believe this is happening in America.

Only in America...
Why are people so stupid? I really don't enjoy living here at times. I was un able to vote in the election b/c I am not American...but honestly I wouldn't have voted for either I don't think.

don't worry, he will. Unless we impeach him.
But remember, impeach=/=remove from office, it only is an accusation of a crime bh the president.

But can't we get an intelligent person to be president... *pauses* oh yeah, the government won't allow it. :/

No intelligence allowed!
That movie was one of the worst religious propaganda pieces I have ever seen in my life.
*facepalm

Religious propaganda? It was not just about that, it was about how the colleges and schools don't allow certain things to be taught. I think that if my child went to public school and taught that we "evolved" like I was taught, I would pull them out of that school! Evolution/Darwinism is a religion, and public schools shouldn't teach religion.

Evolution is a theory, creationism is religion. Creationism should not be taught in schools because it has no scientific merit.

Yet it is taught as a truth, not as a theory.

@ Ryudo: My point exactly.

Evolution/Darwinism is not a religion it's just a belief. I do believe that portions of it should be taught because it still apart of history minus the whole we evolved from monkeys kind of thing. But Evolution did exist and we have that proof in animals.

You are referring to the zealots and radicals. This is like saying every liberal is a baby-killing, taxing machine, and every conservative is a Bible-thumping Jesus freak.

Evolution is at its core a theory. Creationism is not. The way evolution is taught can be criticized, but there is no scientifically accurate way to teach creationism.

A theory which may be incorrect, we know next to nothing, we at one time thought the earth was flat, eh?

...Let's not stretch this too far off topic.

Bul, I'm afraid this topic is going to go (or already has gone) way over some TBT-er's heads.

I'm still watching the video, and so far, I'm nearly at a loss for words.

Glenn Beck...*sigh*

I don't know where to begin.

Yes but shouldn't that mean more religions atleast be explained in schools?
It might decrease religious ignorance significantly.

Excuse me, but we know a little bit more about evolution than "next to nothing"... there is more proof of evolution than creationism.

how? how can something so simple change into something so sophisticated that not even the leading minds can understand. Should we not forgot that Einstein and some of the world's greatest minds were Creationists?

All organisms originated from single-cell organisms. These organisms were significantly more primitive than even today's single-cell organisms. Through mutations (there are three kinds: positive, negative, and neutral), they evolved over millions (or rather, billions) of years.

Let's face it. The earth is over 6,000 years old.........

If you're going to ask me, "where did the single-cell organisms come from", then I know exactly where this argument is going, and let me cut it off before it begins.

Where did God come from? If you're going to say "He always existed", then that's not science. That is not even a theory. That is blind belief in something that doesn't exist.

p.s. - I DO actually believe in God, but not like most people. I believe in Him as the laws of physics and the universe. Kind of like what Carl Sagan believed...

...We're not gonna' turn this into a "Bul explains Evolution to the ignorant" thread.

There's a good share of back-up for Evolution. Actually, even more than a good share.

Again, let's try to stay somewhat on topic...
