I can't believe this is happening in America.

It's crazy, as far as the President the ppl need to give the man a chance hell he just got in office it don't take overnight to fix things. Time's I hate being here. I also hate how ppl feel the need to bring race into the issue..
But I think his side is what made it so much about race. Prior to the election, if you didnt like Obama, you were racist. If you supported McCain, you were racist. I personally cannot stand Obama. He is going to screw some crap up. It will just be a matter of time now. I'm going to sit back and laugh while i watch the fireworks. I cant wait to tell everyone, I told you so.

You know what I agree with you, I was pressured into voting for the simple fact that I'm Black... it's is historical that he won but I wasn't going to vote for him because of his race. Nothing he said really moved me to go register. There are so many "Obama"maniacs that are turning on him now because they thought it was going to be some serious change for the good when it starting to seem like it isn't. Like where are his supporters now? But like I stated he just got in office so who knows whats in store I just hope it doesn't affect my daughters future in a bad way.

Oh yeah I didn't like McCain cause he is one heart attack away from death... we won't speak on Palin..

I said it prior to the primaries, and I'll say it again. Our country was not, and still is not ready for a Black president. I know that sounds awful. But I'm not saying out of racism. I'm being realistic. Our country is not mature enough to handle something like that. And it isnt just the white community that cannot handle it. Its everyone. I'm using everyone of course as a generalization. Rather than our country coming together as one, as what people would have hoped would have happened, it split us up. We are divided again, not like it was back during the civil right movements, but we are still separated. I do hope that our country is mature enough to handle something like this, but we aren't. We are too wrapped up in color, religion, and everything else.

What these protesting idiots don't realize is that the $250,000+ income tax rate was 10% more under their beloved Reagan than it is going to be under Obama. Do you guys realize that all these tea parties are being organized by rich dudes who are afraid that Obama will tax the hell out of them?
yeup, but some poor people are in it too.
Umm, yeah, they were brainwashed to think that Obama is a fascist maniac who will tax everyone into oblivion! These people really don't know what they're talking about... what they also fail to realize is that capitalism or socialism exclusively will fail. There needs to be a healthy mix of both. Under ideal circumstances, both systems are actually pretty good.

If we assume that the free market will not take advantage of having no regulations, then capitalism by itself should be fine... if we assume that the government will not take advantage of its regulatory powers, then socialism should be fine... but that's called a utopia. Anyone who relies on either political ideology exclusively is a moron.

Exactly. During the campaign, like you said, if you didn't vote for Obama, you would be considered racist. That is so immature. Our country is NOT ready for a black president. Most blacks looked towards him as being the savior and the one that will save this country, but none of his ideas will help us, rather tear us apart. The next four years are gonna be tough, and hopefully then, we'll have a different president. By playing the race card is how Obama won his election and his "Hope and Change" crap. But that tore our country because then, if you didn't vote for McCain and you were black, then you were racist, but if you were whit and you didn't vote for Obama, you were racist. Our country is going down in smoke and headin towards hell. But everyone's so caught up in worshiping their new black savior that they're too blind to notice.

There are some things that the free market does better, and then some things that the government is more adept at... for example, global warming. The libertarian/conservative argument is "let's wait until the price of oil is so high, the average person can't afford it, so the free market will introduce a viable alternative fuel"... it is WRONG. Why not start working on these alternative fuels NOW with government-supported research programs?

All this anti-government stuff reminds me of a joke I heard a little while ago...

"How many libertarians does it take to change a light bulb?"
<div class='spoiler_toggle'>Spoiler: click to toggle</div><div class="spoiler" style="display:none;">None, the free market will take care of it.</div>

I agree, but then I don't.. I think we are getting there but it's not 100% because we have those that are so divided. I'm from DC which is a huge melting pot full of ppl who definitely know how to come together. But like you stated the country is not mature enough to get over the whole fact of color. People are waiting for him to fail which isn't a good thing either, think about the pressure he has to endure as a Black President. Not only that look at the mess he has to clean up, he decided to run for Pres at the wrong time to me because of the war and the messed up economy.

I don't care what color our President is, just dont eff up my money lol.. and my education.

As far as religion..... I stay away from it and so should the Gov.

I agree that he is under an enormous amount of pressure. Not just that, but some crazy white person is going to go after him eventually. And to have that hanging over his head and his family. Even the possibility of something like that, has to be horrible. I couldnt be in his shoes. I think we do need to give him a chance, but the back of my mind is saying the opposite. But yeah... Dont take all my money lol that is all i ask

But can't we get an intelligent person to be president... *pauses* oh yeah, the government won't allow it. :/

I wouldn't go that far with the whole Black Savior thing... If Black ppl voted for him thinking he was going to really do something special towards our race they are crazy. All it really shows to us is that the possibilities are endless with my race.

Like I told a friend just cause you voted for him don't mean he will have cookouts on the South Lawn and kickin it with the homies.. He's a President and most Presidents are puppets.. He can't do anything unless it has been approved by congress. So he's not the only one to blame.

Some people voted for him thinking that he was going to pay off their mortgage. 0.o

But yes, black president is a good thing but an actually good black president please?
