I don't write letters because I wrote two of them like you did to Puddles and Gladys when I first got Celadon, and whenever they bring them up I feel so embarrassed, even though nobody is going to read them besides me. Villagers are my favorite part of AC though, I spend a lot of time thinking about their back stories and events going on in town as if they were characters in a book or comic.

I do that with the letters. I like sending them a nice letter rather than just 'Hi.' or 'Have this shirt.'

I love making little stories for my dreamies (I dont really bother with my non-dreamies) like Wolfgang, Kyle, & Katt would run a guitar shop together, & katt was prob bullied for being ugly when she was a kitten (and is still ttd bullied in some towns ;n; come 2 mine katt bbsy u will be loved), and like I even give them romance drama like kyle is a ladies man but Wolfgang has a crush on kyle u kno. annalisa & yuka have recently become big nose girlfriends lmao

& ill send them letters according to this story, like ill send wolfgang letters about his crush on kyle

and then clear their letter history

I write full letters. I can't deal with empty paper- if I'm going to take the time to write a letter and attach a present, it might as well be a good one.

I mean. I'm sending them the junk I don't want- so. I think they at least deserve a well thought out response. Even if they can't actually read. Kind of a weird sense of guilt, actually.

I'm pretty attached to most of my villagers.If I forget about one of them wanting to come to my house or have me go to their house I feel bad and write them a letter with a present attached saying how sorry I am.I write letters most to my favorite villagers saying their really kind or that their house looks nice.

I suppose after learning about game dev things got too technical for me to ever hit that level again ahahah.

You're not alone, don't worry. ;p I've actually cried over villagers who managed to move out without me noticing. I lost Julian and Rudy that way, and I still feel really, REALLY bad about it. In a way many of these villagers engage with me more than my RL friends do. >.>
