I am stuck on island themes...

I need help deciding my island theme! I don't have much yet because I re-set my island...so I kinda want to plan ahead of time! I don't want to do cottage core since it is very common!

I feel like set themes are a little limiting, my island is super colorful and eclectic.

What kind of themes do you usually like? What villagers? Maybe that'll make it easier to narrow it down.

I think basing your theme off of something super specific could be a fun challenge! For example, my town is heavily totoro- themed, so I had to be creative with foliage, and planning out different areas. Limiting myself to one theme was a bit difficult though, so I also added my own flares where I wanted to, and am still working on it (currently integrating a japanese theme as well)!
