I am incredibly unlucky with Balloon DIYs...

Seriously, I have opened up at least 25 so far and I've not gotten a single (new) DIY recipe. I can't be the only one this unlucky here, right?!

Save and quit, then try again. RNG messed you up. Hopefully, restarting the game puts luck in your favor.

I ran into a bit of not luck, as well. However, my problem is that I'm not opening the gifts as a I go, which is leading to duplicate DIYs once I do open them. I opened 32 gifts, here are the results:
Mushroom Wreath (duplicate)
Red-leaf pile (duplicate)
51k bells
Drinking-straw glasses
Papa bear
Maple-leaf pond stone (unique)
15 Iron nuggets
Anatomical model
Tree's bounty big tree (unique)

Leaf stool (1 unique, 3 duplicate)

Mush low stool (duplicate)

Out of 32 balloons shot down, I netted 3 unique recipes. I wonder if 1:10 is an appropriate ratio.

Have you learned the recipes? I noticed that you have higher chances of getting duplicates if you still haven't learned it.

I make it a habit to learn the DIY immediately. I never got any duplicates will grinding.

I just got only one DIY with my very first balloon popped in the morning that was bounty tree arch after that no luck with any new DIYs

I'm definitely getting duplicates, I always check if I've learned a DIY whenever I get a card. I've gotten two new ones the last 30 minutes, though, at least.

I'm unlucky with the balloon diys and when I do get them they are duplicates. Some days I will get something I already have and then I go to a crafting villager and they give me a duplicate diy. I get so annoyed lol.

I was the same, never been this unlucky, but ended up getting the Tree Arch diy so I'm happy now. But it only took 30 balloons XD

I am missing so many mush DIYs, lol. Slowly getting all the Maple DIYs, though. Missing 5 more. Then I just need to get the rest of the Mush DIYs.

The last 4 hours been balloon farming and I’ve only had 2 DIYs...the rest has been clay

I kind of cheated and just bought majority of them, since I know I wouldn't have the time to hunt them down for hours ^^;; though I was able to get the remaining I needed through the balloons that spawned while I was terraforming. I think doing a task while hunting them down definitely makes it easier.

I think balloon RNG is usually terrible in general and it doesn't seem like they fixed this in any patches, although I've had instances where I've seen two balloons at once and I don't know if this is new or old. I had terrible luck getting the first pinecone/acorn recipes at the beginning of the season but it seems that the mush recipes were really easy to get for me this time around. I haven't tried for the maple recipes yet but I'm hoping it will be easy too. I used to be very particular about obtaining seasonal DIYs on my own but now a days I don't mind buying them if I'm feeling lazy because I don't have much time to play as I did before.

No I am the same I am trying to get Spring DIYs but I am not getting many balloons at all and when they do fly over they just have bells or furniture in them

I definitely used up my streak of luck on the mush DIYs it seems... Or not, we'll see. For the mush ones, I had to shoot 24 balloons before finding a first recipe in nr. 25. After that, about 1 in 3 balloons had a DIY. Yesterday evening I managed to shoot 16 balloons, none of which had a DIY. I'll try again tonight, hopefully after nr. 25 my luck will increase again like it did for the mush DIYs

I find it so hard to actually find the balloons lmao, and the only mushroom recipe I have is the wreath. Really hoping I can get some more

I feel you. Almost all the balloons I see are yellow ones with clay or some other trash in them lmao

I was doing fine, now its only blue balloons or repeats. When I'm still missing like 4 DIYs.

I surprisingly have 3 maple diys left to get now. I am having the best luck with balloons at night. I don't know why.

Got my first one at balloon nr. 19, spread over two days. It was my third balloon for today. So far, it seems the maple leaf ones are a bit harder to get than the mush DIYs...
