So about 4 days ago (I think?) my town got corrupted. I made a big, heartbroken ranty thread about it and thought I'd never play the game again because I loved that town and I'd never get it back.
But the next morning I told myself I would reset for a maximum of five days, if I didn't find something in that time then I would abandon the game (I really couldn't be bothered to reset for weeks like I have before) and to be honest the whole situation looked pretty hopeless because I've never seen my map in any dream town or anything (the river layout yes, but I wanted the pond in a specific place and for the lake to coincide with the beach ramp to create a little 'bubble' of land for my house)
Anyway, two days in I found a map that looked almost identical to the one I had lost! It had the bubble of land (and I was able to get my house perfectly central this time!), the lake in the exact same spot, the town hall and town tree had switched places but that was literally the only difference.
And when I got into town... circle grass, apples as fruit, green train station and brown town hall (literally my favourites of each!) and when I came out the train station Blaire was there (one of my dreamies) and her house is in a perfect spot.
The next day I loaded up the game to see who had moved in and it was Molly!! My number one dreamie! (tied with Poppy) and again in a perfect spot.
I literally can't believe how lucky I have been. And now I pretty much have my town back but I get a chance to do it with no TTing, taking it slow and enjoying everything, landscaping it all again, not buying items on here but waiting for them in game. And I'm loving every second of it!

I found a photo of my old map on my PC so here's the comparison!
First Map: (Lost through corruption)

And here is the map I have now:

So the river is actually exactly the same. I have the same bubble for my house, the same pond to make the same park area. I prefer the town tree being huddled up in the corner, and I prefer retail with the new pond. The beach ramp has moved up a bit and I have a bigger cove on the private beach. I can't believe it.
